Wow, it's crazy how just polishing up a few things and a new photo angle can make a car that i, at first, thought was kinda ugly (sorry!) turn into a car that i absolutely LOVE the looks of now! you've done it again, Gabester! (i assume it was you who designed this beauty)

Pretty neat, but I was kinda expecting that the brand would be older than 1948 (Fiat was founded way back in 1899).

    I was referencing this picture.

Seems like they redid a lot of the design on the front/back ends.

Whatever they did, it paid off - it looks way better now than it did in the first pic we saw.

Awesome! Glad this isn’t an exact Fiat 500 knockoff like it was shown as in some early pictures and the very high quality wiki pages.

It looked like a FIAT 600 knockoff... and still does...

Nose and optics are different and it's missing the kink at the end of the windowline/beltline, other than that it's almost a carbon copy.

Will this car come out as soon as it's ready, or will it only be released when the Italy map is ready? I don't think I can wait that long... I honestly don't give a fcuk about the map, I just want the car.

go ahead and keep asking for a release date. the devs will absolutely tell you exactly what date and time it will be released. just for you.

He didn't ask for a release date, he asked if it would be paired with Italy or not.

still, whats the point in asking its repetitive and after all the "speculation" no one has ever gotten a single shred of evidence anyway. it will either come with italy, or it will come before it...maybe after it. who knows? I dont even think the devs know to be honest, theres so many variables and things that can pop up last minute that theres no reason for a dev to answer a question like that, its a liability. "it will be released with italy" then something comes up that will prevent that and now they have to backpedal and look like assholes. thats why the devs dont answer questions like that. thats why its irritating and annoying to see people ask those types of questions lol

There's nothing wrong with the name. Italian names are very literal and sound stupid when translated in English. Quattroporte just means "four doors", Barchetta means "little boat" and they named a Ferrari "The Ferrari" for Christ's sake.....

If you're not the one answering the questions, then why do you care? All I want to know is if there is any possibility of it being released before Italy, or if it will be released strictly with or after. I think that since Italy probably won't be done until next year, it would be unfair to tease a nearly-complete vehicle which will almost certainly be finished before Italy, then to make us wait indefinitely before we can have it.

And still, I doubt any genuine italian would name a car "Piccolina" (it's a good nickname for kittens, although yes, at the time Autobianchi did have a Stellina convertible...), and the name chosen for the marque is very implausible for quite a few reasons mentioned already. There's only like 3.000 people (out of 61 millions) in Italy registered under the "Bello" family name, just saying...

Does the name sound nice? Yes. Does it sound italian? Also, yes. Does it sound proper? No, it's more of a stereotypical and vaguely parodistic name only non-italian people could come up with. It would be perfect as a tongue-in-cheek name for a vehicle in a Saints Row game, but then again, we also have the Ibishu Pessima...

Maybe not still in Italy but I personally know two people with the last name Bello/Bella here on Long Island.
    --- Post updated ---
And as far as no real Italian calling a car a Piccolina, Fiat did make a car called the Topolino which is the localized Italian name for Mickey Mouse.

It's actually the nickname of the car. The actual name is just Fiat 500 (ironic because decades later came a car with the same numerical name).

"Bella" and "Dibella" (latin origin) are relatively more common. "Bello" is not. "Belli" and derivatives ("Bellini") on the other hand are fairly frequent.

Even just going for "Autobelli" would have worked much much better, IMO.

Mind you the name - which is probably set in stone by now anyway - is perfectly fine with me. I just expressed my opinion in my first post in this thread, and since then it was spreaded along the whole thread as if it was some matter of life and death. I'm not losing sleep over this. From what we could see so far, I'm quite frankly more than amazed by the vehicle itself.

I see what you’re saying, it’s definetely similar, also my bad about the 500/600 thing. I wouldn’t go as far as saying a carbon copy. The front end is a little different in my opinion, almost beetle-inspired. Just my thoughts, but I’d have to say this is definetely the closest inspired Beam vehicle to a real life vehicle.

Front has some Renault vibes (Dauphine, R8) thanks to the front-hinged flip-over hood. Mixed with some Goggomobil, maybe. It's definitely the most original part of the design.

Side windowline is where the Beetle inspiration can be seen more evidently, IMO.

If this variant doesn't appear I will be quite disappointed. (fun fact, if this has a marked police version on launch, it will be the first vehicle to do so! :) )
