    Henry J?
It's not too common to see a model name be named after the chairman of the company.

Daihatsu naked!? WTF daihatsu? Why The Name Sucks: Yes, we understand that it's a dump truck, but without the word "truck" it sounds more like what happens after that Miralax finally kicks in. - Complex.com

It's the Titan Dump. Yes, the name sounds pretty ridiculous.
    OT:

    Sonic.
What kind of Sonic am I referring to? The hedgehog? The restaurant chain? The sound of shock waves? The NBA team?

A fucking Chevrolet. How original, General Motors.

    Titan Dump... Oof.
    Morris Marina...

Yes, does that make you think of a lovely, picturesque boat Marina in the Bahamas, or a lovely little Marina in Alaska, separated from the world?
If the car actually looked good it'd make people think that.
But no, Morris Marina makes me think of the combination Taco Bell + Laxatives.

The name doesn't refer to seed and suits the car very well. It is a portmanteau of two acronyms: CEE is European Economic Community backwards and ED is European Design. As three Es in a row would be too much, the last one was replaced with an apostrophe. This name was chosen to reflect the fact that Ceed is designed, built and sold in Europe.

    Very interesting....

Also, the Cee'd will now change the style of the name to "CEED" as of the third generation. So there's actually no issue with calling it Ceed now because of this change.

Most likely it takes its name from either the eponymous fighter aircraft or the eponymous tank destroyer. The M18 Hellcat is in fact the fastest US tank. This is nothing new among US sports cars, since the legendary Mustang itself was named after a WW2 aircraft.

    What a neat fact!
For the most part, Dodge is really good at naming. But one thing I'm curious about is what the Charger is named after....

A 6 year old must've made up that name. It sounds really stupid (stupider than the Titan Dump).
