Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but what is 'two-step?'

Also I'm assuming if you need an app for everything, they would eventually fill your screen to the point where it resembles a blender user interface than a racing game

    It's technically a simulator game.

Still, more screen would be GUI than car

Simulator games usually have minimalistic UI but complex key bindings.

IMO, the best way to handle two-step RPM configuration would be as a slider in the tuning menu. This way, you don't have more UI on the main screen for it and you can save your preferred RPM as part of your config.

Oh HELL yes! I am so hyped for this!

How is this going to be applied to cars? A standard feature of race ECUs? A standalone part?

Not sure yet, probably stock on some cars and part of the aftermarket ECU for others.

So maybe the SBR4, ETK K-Series/800 (perhaps Sunburst) would get it as a built-in feature into the standard ECU, while all the other ones would get it as a race ECU upgrade?

I don't think the Sunburst would get it as cars in that price range never have launch control or 2-step. Probably only the TTsport and turbo SBR4 would have it.

That why I wrote Sunburst in brackets, since it didn't fit for me either but maybe maybe

The RS should definitely get launch control. Nowadays even slightly faster hatchbacks get launch control.

Two-step would be nice since I don't have pedals or an operating wheel.

It's a good start, but it needs to spool the turbo more efficiently, that's the whole point of 2-step. What happens is that air and fuel mixture pass trough the engine, unburnt because the 2-step provide an ignition cut. Then it combusts in the exhaust manifold and thus spool up the turbo very quickly. The turbo should be able to reach full open wastegate in neutral.

No, what you describe is just an additional system on top of a secondary rev limiter, it's not like this is standard for each and every implementation of this idea.

Not really. It's a specific kind of rev limiter which utilize ignition cut instead of fuel cut.

Well perhaps not, but it's still very common. For example MSD or Bee-R

Hey, whatever happened to this? I see it in the changelog, but what cars/configs is it on?

You have to bind 3 keys & then activate it manually
