You may be right, but the effect is the same isn't it? Engine power to the wheels has to be reduced during shifts, otherwise they would be harsh. To the devs, I also wanted to give some positive feedback here. I like the updated car handling. It's smooth, predictable and still realistic. When it comes to physics this is the best driving simulator I've ever played.
Turbo, spool, only realistic way is to have throttle untouched (except fancy modern stuff), there is parameter for shift efficiency, which defines torque loss while shifting, throttle manipulation is not needed. As torque converter slips always, except when locked, that is what smooths out already shifting, so shift efficiency is just doing little extra on top of torque converter. Throttle cutting is disabled here, I would say this is quite smooth? Throttle cut is needed for DCT, some modern fancy automatics shift with TC locked up and those need also throttle cut, who knows maybe there are some weak transmissions that need throttle cut, but 80's vehicle will have throttle cable to throttle pedal, completely mechanical system.
Is it me or is the D Series weaker after the update? Front end crashes kill the engine at a lower speed than before.
You probably have something blocking the game from writing them in your userfolder then. Check your antivirus and anything that resembles like one, and make triple sure it's not blocking the game in any way.
I managed to make my car invisible after using the replay app. Dang it I can't manage to replicate it!
Did any filepaths change for 0.13?, after the update i'm having an issue where the parts in my mods no longer show up (with the exception of the pickup).
I actually managed to do the same thing, @ktheminecraftfan, go into the parts selector and hover over the body of the vehicle and it usually fixes it.
water in the left pool does not go down to the bottom, so i can drive a car at the bottom also that is in the pool (those two spikes, not my car )
Yep. Another way is to close the replay and pressing the 'ctrl+' or 'ctrl-' transparency bindings. (also, just to clarify, what would help fix the issue for everyone, is knowing the specific steps that lead to the car incorrectly disappearing)
before I report this as a bug , is anyone else having a issue spawning more then 3 cars? ( ive got 16 GB of ram and 4 of Vram so I doubt its that , I could before the update )
Which cars? If Automation exports, then those one can't have many as they have lot of polys and objects. Tested quickly with 4 and no issues here:
yea same here now that ive said something about it I can spawn 4 so far, last time it did it I had 1 dseries 1 bagtrailer and 1 dodge cornet , just crashed as soon as I clicked spawn new on a grand marshall , next time it does it ill try to post the error report thing
It's not just the D series. It looks like a lot if not all the engines were made more fragile, but I think that's great! They used to be too tough. In the previous versions you could seriously wreck a vehicle, and still drive it around. I think it's more realistic now.
