hey, i've been fiddling around with the tuning of the SpeirsDrag, and i cant seem to make the car capable of staying stable in 6th gear. The tires just burst! Is there anyone here who knows a way to tune/upgrade the car so that it doesnt do this?

 

Try changing the gear ratio, alternatively, you could modify the tire strength in the jbeam

 

That happens in real life if you go too fast on a tire (especially under-inflated ones or old dry-rotted ones). The tread will come off or the rubber will just rip away from the rim.
The faster you go, the 'taller' a tire gets (in relation to it's dimensions across, and height of the sidewall from the rim). Faster-rated tires are more expensive but better balanced and manufactured to a more precise specification so they can maintain high speeds without overheat and "blowing out".

Try yanking some tires off the Bolide or that "newer faster small car". The one that resembles a Bugatti Veyron or whatever it is.

 

Thats the same effect only on a smaller scale though. Scale has a difference on physics.

Well the last time it was updated was a year ago, so the jbeam probably isn't that up-to-date. Buuuut I could try and help you troubleshoot it and maybe fix it. Could you describe the area of the wobbling (in the suspension, wheels, or chassis?) Sometimes wheels can be changed and that may fix the problem, or the suspension needs tuning, or you're just SOL.

 

I can answer, in my experimentation with aerodynamics, i botched the aerodynamic stability of that version

Yeah so basically you're SOL dude. The aero is f*cked, so the car is gonna wobble no matter what until you remove the aero parts.
