[Tutorial] Vehicle performance and components modification (Simple)

Did you save the rar file as well. You have to save both the notepad file and the rar file.

 

Rar? BeamNG doesn't use .rar files, they're called .zip. RAR is a format used by some file program I forgot the name of.

Im trying to edit rpms and horsepower, what file do I open ( I use notepad ++)

 

Every vehicle uses different file, but usually there is word engine in it and extension is .jbeam.

IM DUMB I FOUND IT

 

I can't figure it out I followed the instructions to the best of my ability to try and make an AWD Grand Marshal(I tried to follow it to a T as much as possible). The most result I got was the car disappeared when I tried to load it.(Definatly broke it there lol fortunately made backup file) I did however figure out how to make multiple cars in the vehicle selector menu thanks to this tutorial(though that's not that helpful to me ATM).

I think I need a more up to date and even more in-depth tutorial(haha like a video) on how to add parts like making a front or rear diff, making it so it's selectable and deselectable in the parts menu(or like how some vehicles under transmission selection you can select FWD/RWD/AWD/4WD trans, and even a driveshaft for both front and rear in their respective menus) I'm slow on uptake and grasping, but once I get something I got it down...just gotta be able to get it first lol

Press tilde (key left to 1 on keyboard) to open console (US keyboard layout needed), that will show why it is not loading, can be as simple as forgotten " or 0 or } etc.
