Haha awesome Like a Gavril 6x6 V2. I love the look of the monster truck wheels on that thing. I'd love to drive this thing around offroad. In my opinion, dkutch's wheels just don't cut it. They're just too fragile. It doesn't do all that great offroad.

First map I intend to release: road key: green = dirt road > 4x4/rally needed red = Main road > civetta / covet black/blue = tunnels and bridges purple = trials > crawler/buggy for ascent, off-road vehicle for going down. You cant really see it on the diagram, but the trial tracks are really steep, having loads of fun driving down them in the off-road D-15. trial (Hairpins) - this is fun to go down in D-15 ~~ Steep road down to the bay - Bolide gets air ~~ Dirt road along spine - Scarab rallying heaven
If you want your trial tracks to look nicer/more realistic, add some small rocks along them and make them just stick out of the ground, so they don't catch on the cars. And looking good for a first map
Oh. This asshole again. Yep, I'm back with more WIP goodness. This time, it's the interior with no centre console. WHERE DO YOU EXPECT ME TO REST MY ARM, AUDI? WHERE THE CUPHOLDERS ARE? THOSE THINGS ARE IN THE GLOVEBOX WITH A BOX OF SPARK PLUGS AND A CRUSTY CHAMOIS. (imported from here)
A car made completly out of grain or just rendered with a total of 3 cycles? I mean come on, my eyes hurt. Nice dashboard tho, or center console or w/e.^^ Testing around with steep turns while i wait for feedback on my road parts.
Get your GPU to do your rendering instead of the cpu and your cycles renders will fly. I have a 560ti and it is over 10x faster than my i5 2500k. Newer gpus should be even better since they are progressing faster than CPU's at the moment.
I rendered some video for a guy once on my GTX460. Spent a few hours receiving the files via email and downloading blender on a 0.1mb/s connection, left it to render overnight and then physically delivered him the files on an external hard disk the next day. In that same time he left his machine rendering on a 3.2ghz dual core overnight and it achieved a whopping 14 frames compared to my machines 700 or so (about 30 seconds of footage at 24fps).
Its not about how new the gpu is only, but mainly how many cuda cores you have if im not wrong. But yes, gpu rendering makes cpu rendering look obsolete.
Rendered it at 1500 samples, but at 810x540, so the boxes were massive. I could do 3 full HD 20k sample renders and use the average filter in Photoshop to give a flawless render, but that takes too much time. It's an auto car, and I generally steer with one hand. I need it, mang. Awkward, I used a 770.
Working on a "real" MX Racetrack which is designed exclusively for the DSC Scarab using stage 2 Turbo. Spend couple of hours with the first double (launch & landing ramp together, with a gap inbetween for all non-rampheads) to find a good workflow with the terrain editor, that thing realy is the pain himself... Found some rather easy and fast way to build super smooth ramps now, may do a tutorial at some time. Preview of the Racetrack. Dont get fooled by the smoothness, you have to drive this track with the 240HP stage 2 turbo Scarab, pedal to the metal so your wheels will be floating! Flora will be added later.
