Update Speculation thread

Actually I think it would look better if the tires were blackwalls (in my opinion).

 

I like the whitewalls, though blackwalls would look good too.

I am fine with white walls, but white rims... meh. Rather black rims and bigger hubcaps

 

It's been a couple months since the last update, so maybe in a month or two.
I am super excited for this update/the next few updates. The devs have shown some groundbreaking stuff recently.

 

I think "in a month or two" is a bit too excessive, but could it be in late June/early July? Maybe the update would drop sometime around the 4th of July? Those are just my thoughts.

 

I heard that the Steam Summer Sale begins on the Twenty first of this month, maybe they will release it around that date!

 

I would agree, around that time sounds about right and matches with their usual update schedule. I can't wait to get a good look at this new 'AB' vehicle!

July 4th is a US only holiday so I don't think it'd come out then deliberately, my guess is the steam summer sale.

 

Hmm, certainly it would make sense to have stuff made to point that they can have a summer holiday without too much thinking of building and improving code.

Then again, do they know what holiday is? Often devs are responding here at late Weekend evenings.

Still you would think that they do have a some sort of relaxation period at the summer and in team work it is hard to have few weeks off so that rest of team can work, so it might be they have at least part of staff at holiday same time, which then would mean that it would be sensible to push update before holidays, so that hotfixes can be made and then relax at holiday.

After holiday it would make sense to start with new ideas and energy with next version building.

It might of course be that they work bit differently than my imagination is lying to me, so who knows, maybe holidays don't really affect to development cycle at all?

However usually at workplaces it is a custom to clear table before holidays as it allows much more refreshing holiday time and much better productivity after the holiday.

 

0.11 was released alongside Thanksgiving, an American holiday.

 

To be perfectly honest, I wish there was a thin whitewall available in the Burnside Special's default tire size.

 

If it was a Alpine knock-off, I would love to see a car like the 1990s Renault Alpine.

 

My question was not serious, i absolutely don't care when the update will be! I am not a " wen relaze" kid!

 

USA thanksgiving. Many other countries actually have thangsgiving but in October. like Canada.

 

I understood the joke, I was just using it as an opportunity to speculate about the release date.

Same here! There is an article and another video with some more info about that in the video's description. I also wonder how the exporter will handle jbeam. I don't think anybody saw this coming, but it is very interesting!
