Definitely the last one. It's not a new thing... especially since last update, we got a new vehicle under a new brand.
I meant as in a FIAT like car, as the only Italian brand that seems reasonable for it's existence at the moment is Civetta. Also, if you never knew, FIAT owns the Italian sports car company Ferrari, which made me realise, it could be a whole group of brands under this one FIAT like brand. Who knows, it could be called the Shimmy Sham for what we know.
Yeah, but that was in the 60s/70s, and this car could've been made during WWII for god knows what. (If it is a Beetle-based car...)
I will give an imaginary cookie to the first person to mod the project car to have this name. Also, Fiat-Chrysler, bringing you the best in class hemi powered Ferrari Grand Wagoneer 500... I may have mentally combined a couple of their projects there...
That one wouldn't be too outlandish. On the Wiki it does says there is a fourth unknown ETK in development. If it's to be something based on a VW Beetle/Type 1, it is very much a possibility it may end up being an ETK. --- Post updated --- Careful now. You can get banned for saying that.
Then again, it could also be a new brand (which could be based on VW and maybe even Porsche). --- Post updated --- Oh.... well, I'll fix that to Germany.
Then again, it never was confirmed that ETK also had VW inspirations as well, though we have no idea what the car is called anyways.
That's true, but at the end of the day, how outlandish is the idea of ETK having some hints of VW? We are talking about a game that basically has a Jeep Wrangler as a Japanese vehicle. The 800 and K-Series has that Mercedes-BMW vibe, while I think the I-Series has somewhat of an Audi vibe. This one being the fourth and having VW vibes doesn't sound strange at all to me.
The fourth ETK could also be a Porsche as well. It's also a company that never had a Beam counterpart, and it could be somewhere around the lines of the 911, 918, or maybe even the Type 12, which the Type 1 (VW) took inspiration from.
You got some good theories there. In a way, they could mash the Type 1 and 12 together to create a more unique vehicle. A Porsche though, a part of me agrees, but another doesn't, because the engine seen in the image doesn't look like something that would be seen in a Porsche.
The thing is, the Type 1 is like the Type 12 cousin (I swear that I might as well nickname every car by "Type [insert number code here]"), like both being rear-engined, both are German, both were in the times of Adolf H., and they were both made in the 30s. It could be a design combination though, which should be a interesting idea to replicate.
German, Italian, even British, Swedish or French, I'm just glad that we're getting what appears to be an aircooled car. Here's hoping that it's followed up with a van! It's high time for BeamNG to see a one-box design!
The Hopper does draw heavy inspiration from the Wrangler for styling and engine displacement, but it may also show cues from the FJ40 Land Cruiser and one other vehicle that I can't remember.
