Definitely gonna be a new brand, since ETK only focuses on Audi, BMW, and Mercedes, not VW (which it looks like the most), but Fiat also has no official Beam counterpart.

 

Call me insane but i think the bare shape is atleast there for the Aircooled VW engine and the way the engine bay looks like.
People how the hell did you get a Fiat 500 from the classic Aircooled vw engine?

 

exactly as Ai'Torror said, its the engine bay sizing and shape that leads us to believe that it will be a mix n' match of the two

 

Friendly reminder of two things, A. Its not a 1:1 copy of a Beetle. B. That engine was placed in tons of cars with different shapes, and the Bettle had atleast 2 or 3 big revisions that could influence in that

Engine is so blatantly designed after the aircooled VW engine, while the rest isn't, so we're thinking it might be a mashup.

Again, look at the wheel well bulge in the engine compartment:

- Beetle has separate wheel arches.
- That, plus the minimal rear overhang and the steep inclination of the trunklid all hint at a very short car.
- Being that Italy map is nearing completion, but we have no Euro-spec vehicle other than the two modern ETKs (if you set the instrumentation to Metric gauges, that is), we're thinking they might pull another Hopper here. A clear Beetle bootleg, branded as an Italian car, which just a couple characteristics to fit the archetype better.

 

I think the bigger hood of the in-game car makes the Beam engine seem proportionally smaller.

 

And also might signify the in-game car doesn't have separate wheel arches like the Beetle, with the hood covering most of the rear fascia.

 

Proving the point this engine was placed in a lots of different cars that the devs could mash up together

Give it some historic context and it could be a dark dark day in Beamng world history. But it makes sense
