Completely re-modelled this beast today, nice tube frame, sheet metal, etc. Buggy is running a 4 Cylinder Engine, with a wee turbo, nothing unrealistic like my usual mods. Just setting up 4WD at the moment, half-shafts are all in place. This buggy isn't based on anything like the DSC Buggy, all n/b was created from scratch by me. Now to add more crossbeams. EDIT: Thread worthy perhaps? Current n/b
Definitely thread worthy! Hope you can make is so the front wheels dont violently shake when in AWD. Looks really cool though!
Here is what i´m working on since last week (Hope this thread is also for maps) (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here)
Awesome! Did you work out what it was that was causing this with the old buggy? And if so, is it an easy fix?
Haven't really looked at that, my guess is the excessive power Just finished up the bumper and headlights. (Texture is just for show at the moment) (imported from here)
got 3ds max student edition , first things first, how the heck do i get a more blender like main screen (instead of the 4 different box views, their to small for my screen size) also, a little preview of something im going to start working on (once i get the only 1 3d view box full sized) (imported from here) (hint: its NOT a ball you can use to crush things)
I get the wheel shudder too, but I actually redid the engine specs on my copy of your mod because I disliked the excessive power. The power curve for the V6 engine on my install is replaced with the i4 with turbo from the covet and the V8 is the standard gavril V8 power curve. Significantly less power, still shudders. Also noticed you typoed friction in the V8 engine Jbeam for your buggy, bgiction or something like that.
You should design new cars for car manufacturers. they really like it when step one to replacing a belt is to drop the engine lol
Since I felt like making a buggy and because I wanted something to compete with DSamsP), this thing. One thing, the engine in the rear is the V3Ss engine, bored out and I'll model a 2nd turbo for it later.
Hopefully this thing will end up in game some day. Model is not done yet, lots more work to do, suggestions appreciated. Stats for nerds: 4k (3840 x 2160) resolution / 2000 samples / 38 mins
I will probably have to put one on just so that it can have enough down force, but i quite enjoy the slick looks. If i was competent with node/beams i would ideally have one that pops up at high speeds. I will have a play in the morning i guess to find out if i find a spoiler ugly on it, the problem with spoilers is unless they are done really really well they look quite chavy in my opinion.
