It costs typical compact car money.

IMHO, Toyota Supra Mk4 Twin Turbo.
$45k for a 320 HP 90s car? Shit, the ZR1 Vette is basically the same, but with more power, for a quarter of that.

 

Golf VII was introduced in 2013. In Serbia basic version of Golf costs 18K€ with taxes. Basic version of Renault Megane IV, which was introduced in 2016, costs 14K€ with taxes. RIP logic.

 

There is a reason. For example, Autocar gave the Golf 4.5 stars and the Renault 3.

Renaults are European American cars - seem like lots of value, but you usually get what you pay for.

 

Any Audi.

 

The Opel Combo C.

 

It costs standard small van money.

My contenders are the Citroen 2CV and old VW Microbuses - €10k for a good one is a total ripoff.

 

Certain American vans are a bit cheaper than the Combo though.

I would gladly pay $40,000 for one but $80K?!

 

That's 4-8x what you'd pay for a similar-vintage Corvette ZR1.

 

Toyota Corolla AE86, probably the most overpriced car ever. 10-40K for an 80s 130 hp compact. Are there even weebs that rich?

 

Any Italian exotic car...

 

You can probably find a 25 year old Maserati or Alfa for less than 20K.

 

Any non-Malaysian branded car sold in Malaysia.
For example:
Brand new Toyota Camry = USD 43K
Brand new Toyota 86 = USD 75K
Brand new BMW 530i = USD 102K

 

Also any new Japanese car. A new Korean car is cheaper and just as reliable these days.
