I want to make a version of the map...kinda like renovated. It seems like all of the maps in the game are based off old towns that are run down. We don't have anything new! WCA is better, I have to say that. But in ECA all the roads are cracked, sidewalks are cracked and falling apart. The buildings have vines all over them, etc. I think it would make it interesting if I could put new and updated buildings into ECA and new roads to make it "Facelifted".

Yea make a downtown with taller buildings but make everything fade into a friendly country side setting with barns and homes with lots of land ( maybe an airport too? )

    Well, good luck!

Also, advertisements are an must. There could be billboards or posters here or there.

Ok everyone, this is about the official map, not mods. If you would like to discuss mods, please make a new thread. Stay on topic please.
Due to the size of Firwood, a shared emergency services building might be required. Not sure where it'd be, as the current FPD station is too small for that role.
There are in fact a couple places on the map that could fit one. A small regional airport would be nice.
There is a FPD station according to the game files, it's just unmarked. Not sure if a small town would have a taxi depot though, if it did it would be rather small. A bus depot might be interesting though.
I believe another, larger town in the countryside would work nicely and fill the same role.
That would be nice. There seem to be a lot of "Copy Paste" bridges around.

It could be an pony bridge, like in most states.

This is a pony bridge. Admittedly, it'd be a lot shorter than this for ECA.

Yeah, and an new river would need to be put into place to make it somewhat reasonable.

One could work if it replaces one of the 3 large bridges on ECA

Maybe for the new river, there could be an "dock" bridge (The ones that open up for bridges) like the one in my city.

Just lower and shorten it, then it would fit perfectly.

We don't need any new rivers. Replacing the existing bridges works just as well. Although a drawbridge would be cool, I don't believe it could be animated.

True, since the closest to an fully-interactive bridge is the one in Sadler Gorge. I was only thinking of an new river because Maine has many bodies of water, but I see your point.

In my opinion, if a second town is added, it should be on the landmass on the edge of the map that has no structures whatsoever.

I hope that it's less "perfectly" formatted, and more free like Abbot, Maine. The original town is formatted as if it was NYC blocks. (Straight and firm, for most of it.)

To be honest, Firwood needs a lot more sprawl. The existing area is like the city center of many small towns in New England, but where are the strip malls, trailer parks, superstores, etc? Firwood as of now is just a small New England town, but it seriously needs the sprawl to appear modern.

Plus, it's way too formatted like I said before. It's like cities below Maine, like my city, or major cities like Providence. A true Maine town should have more informally planned roads, or atleast more dead ended streets.

Firwood is too basic to be honest. As said earlier, it feels like the downtown of a New England town, but it abruptly ends at the edges of the downtown.
