You should probably throw in a gpu aswell if you want to play a lot of games.

In short, no. The A10 is only slightly better than the A8, and ive got an a8 rig with a GTX 660 Ti that i built for under $500.

Pre built PC's are normally never a good deal. Build one yourself if you want a good deal.

I would recommend you build your own, that will give you the best deal. :)

My A8-3850 handles Drive okay. Not great. (30-80FPS depending on map/car. Even less with the Moonhawk.) That's with my 650ti Boost.

APUs are okay for gaming, especially if you're on a budget. Otherwise just go for a normal CPU and a dedicated GPU.

Just to give you another one for the same opinion.
    This!
Any person with the slightest idea about computer hardware will tell you excactly this and only this!
But people should conclude that themselfs, compared to single parts bought in their shipping packaging, a prebuild pc caused additional work for the store that sells you the hardware so they obviously want additional money from you for this work. In most cases way too much considered the little work needed to do so.

Assuming you live in the states, You might want to spend the extra dollars on something future-proof (game wise)
    Just a suggestion: http://secure.newegg.com/Shopping/ShoppingCart.aspx?Submit=view

what? its like putting LEGO's Together, provided you get parts that actually work & fit together (which, if you use a website like pcpartpicker to choose parts, it all should, as it detects compatibility issues, and, also if you use a little common sense (all cpu's will tell you which slot type it uses, so for example, lets say you go for a amd fx-6300, it will say it is a FM3+ chip, so, obviously, get a FM3+ motherboard, otherwise, of course it won't work right))

in fact, have a video on HOW to build:

    its VERY VERY easy

There is a HUGE amount of tutorials, guides, and general info about building your own PC. What did you do before that turned out so miserable? As long as you are careful, do your research and use common sense it will go well. :D You could also ask any friends or relatives who have built or worked on computers for advice and help.

lets put it this way. for around $600 i got an Asus computer with an Intel core i5 2320, and 6gb RAM. i used to get around 15-20 fps with the covet on gridmap. i just slapped in an EVGA GTX 650 ti SSC, and now i get 60 fps on gridmap in almost any vehicle (excluuding the cabster and moonhawk) a GPU makes a hell of a difference, so its best you build a computer. you can probably get nearly twice the power i have for the same price

Sorry for a tiny bump, but that happened to me, and it was because my mobo didn't have any graphics card at all, so when I plugged the HDMI cord into the mobo, it did the same thing. You have to plug the cord into your graphics card, if you bought a dedicated card.

The MB may have been defective especially if it was a cheaper brand. Iv'e had that happen to me before. Did you every get that computer working?

Off topic: I like your Avatar picture i'm a big fan of 3rd Gen Camaros/Firebirds, I had an 83 Z28 I bought for $600 in high school. lol it was a pretty cool car, but the 305 was kind of a boat anchor, handling wasn't bad thou. :p
