They're basically the same damn car. Get out of the bubble and realize the "true Australian sedan" is a dead end. In '82, the Falcon and Commodore were #1 and #2 in new car sales. 35 years later, the Commodore was #8, behind stuff like the Mazda CX-5, Mazda 3 or Toyota Corolla, and the Falcon failed to reach Top 10.
I personally don't like what they did with the MK1 Clio at all. It's glaringly obvious this was a forced placeholder facelift to keep the car looking "modern" for another 2 years before the MK2 clio came out. The original lines are completely broken in the front, and the styling became wildly incoherent, as the front end has nothing to do with the rest of the car. BONUS: The Peugeot 206+ It looks like a bad photoshop. The only explanation I can come up with for this is Peugeot wanting to keep the cheap old 206 in production, while still maintaining their newest design language (Which, in the modern automotive world, is simply slapping the same front end on everything you make by the way), so they went ahead and created this monstruosity.
The 2016 model looked decent, nothing that bad. Then comes this Avalon-wanna be.... it's actually more uglier than the 2019 Avalon actually.
Ugh... Don't get me started about the Eclipse's martyrdom: Nice, fast, great coupe EVO Eclipse! to this ugly piece of crap: and then... OH NO... *Autistic screaming intensifies*
wow Looks like one of the designers vomited on the previous gen and it melted and stretched everything
It actually looks worse than the 2019 Avalon. Atleast that one had an charming grille, but this doesn't.
>charming >this Pick one. It looks like one of those BeamNG crashes where a part of the mesh goes missing.
lol. Your right. Avalon is better tho but get rid of that hideous hood line where it meets the fascia
I actually kinda like the 2018 one a bit more than that older one. I do like the facelift before the 2018 one better, however. This one:
