Just trying to start a thread for some older trucks! Looking for some ideas of what to do with my C10! View attachment 393818
Right now it has a small block 350 bored .00030 over, so technically its a 355. Has a TH350 trans. The motor was a circle track motor from an Sk modified. Goes really good, except i just out a new intake and 4 barrel carb on, but now im having an oil pressure issue. Only getting like 5-10 psi max.
I honestly have no idea. I cant remember how the oil pressure was before i put the new intake and carb on it, so i cant tell if it got worst. But now in cold weather when i start it you can hear the rockers rubbing metal on metal until it warms up and the oil pressure rises. Im also running a thicker oil so a harder startup is expected b ut its a bit extensive. --- Post updated --- worse*
worse* Possibly. We just got it running and timed on sunday. Ill have to investigate some more when i get the chance.
I agree with 'JBatic', paint it black. But I would put a white or silver (this would match the lighter tone of the rim) pinstripe running the whole length of the truck, on the little bump halfway up the sides. Its completely optional of course but in my opinion I think it would look cool.
judging by their current prices many people would agree with you I quite like the boxy styling compared to the monstrosities they are making now. The 2019 silverado is very odd looking, imo the only american brand that hasn't ruined their trucks is ford since why change when your truck is already bestselling for 40 years
Hey, i finally figured out the oil pressure problem. When we changed the intake, we didnt drain the block of all its antifreeze so some got in the oil and the oil filter. When water (Antifreeze) gets in the filter, it ruins the filter and clogs it. So when i changed the filter and oil the pressure went right back up.
not a pickup but close enough I got a bronco it is a 1989 XLT with a straight 6 and a 5 speed manual It needs a bit of work but is pretty good for $1700 It came with an extra set of doors and a set of wheels/tires and it has a 4in suspension lift
