This mod is awesome! Maybe you could add these transmission to the other Dansworth bus mod? Makes driving the bus easier

 

Love it. I don't know about anyone else, but speed is always fun. Anyway, would you be able to add some extreme configs? Maybe get this beast up to over a 150MPH?

 

I'll add an extreme transmission that'll make 120MPH possible, maybe more on the T600. In the next update I will also support the V8 diesel

Im holding fire on the other bus mod as i think it might get updated in the future. It's rather outdated compared to this mod and the other dansworth does come with an automatic.

I have ran into traction issues more than anything else tbh. I am not feeling up to making drag tyres, this will be a powertrain mod, and that's about it.

Banks Super Turbo (Can find more with googling), I guess I could use bit longer gearing, but it is more of drifting and hill climbing:

Something around turbo catches fire with very long flat out run, node materials there might need some adjusting I guess as there is no way I know of to get turbo run cooler.

Maybe one day I will have time to work out that bug out, but this motor and transmission is really lot of fun and best part is, it is made from real world data as much as possible.

 

That turbo/supercharger setup is not included in this mod or the udpate i have of the Dansworth. If it's a mod let the author know. If you mean the turbochargers on the stock bus i can't reduce the temperature. I tried setting the thermostat of the oil cooler right down and no change. I think it's seperate and a bit odd, like the clutch thermals.

The new update will contain 3 new radiators:
Normal (less overpowered, you can overheat this on a steep climb with T600)
Dirty (can overheat rather easily, watch that temperature gauge)
High performance (for drag configs)

Turbo temps can't be changed, but Diamondback instructed once that just increase temperature which turbo is damaged. After that is fixed, then you will end up with the issue I'm having where nodes around turbo or turbo itself catches fire.

I don't know any other mod than mine that has SC and turbo both, it's real pain in the a____ to tune as there is no way to display total boost or turbo rpm with such setup. Only way to do that would be tapping into turbocharger.lua etc.

If you want to build such dual charging setup some day, trick is to have turbo or supercharger in additional modification and then turbo or supercharger as intake part, just a tip so you can create more awesome in future

 

I'll try to avoid supercharger/turbocharger setups until I know how to do them.
Anyway halfterm (1 week school hols) has almost finished and i need to do some work to keep my teachers happy

Remove all mods except bus mod, clear cache and then start again. It's probably a conflicting mod then.

I made a Ford Triton based gasoline V10 for the bus, and a few transmissions that mostly work with it. It is a bit underwhelming on the hills, and at accelerating in general (although a better tuned trans would probably help). However, it adds a somewhat interesting engine option, which can compete with the 18L V8 when supercharged. I can give it too you if you want to add to your mod.

Sure, no problem. I've tweaked it a bit more since, letting the TC slip more helped with acceleration on the auto, and I adjusted it to put it's power output a bit closer to the natural gas powered Triton, which is what most buses have in reality.

 

It needed a differential, it's a petrol so the power is up high in the rev range, so cruising at 70MPH is around 2500RPM-3000RPM.
