I was just brainstorming and I thought that it would be pretty cool to have an interactive environment. Something like a gas station would be cool to have. Or after a long day of off-roading, being able to go to a car wash to bring back that sparkle. Possibly some AI so we are not the only ones around. I am not asking for a Grand Theft Auto 4, but I would like to have some life in the game. Thanks and comment on what you think.

BeamNG is not a game, it's a physics engine. And yes, this engine in cryengine is awesome and could use a little more life than RoR did, so lonely just you in a big empty city.

You failed at grammar and spelling, but OT, I agree it's a bit lonely, like minecraft, you and no one but cows and villagers, needs some life.

No, it's a completely detached physics middleware system. We simply chose to implement it in CryEngine 3, but it can be implemented into any engine with a C++ API.

Hmm.. I'm really starting to like the idea of being able to use a winch by connecting it to a tree or something similar. Like, if you get stuck in some mud you might be able to use f-keys to extend the winch cable on a truck and similarly to RoR you press a button like O or L to connect it to stuff. But instead of only being able to connect to hook-nodes on vehicles, you can connect it to a tree as well? Although if this works anything like RoR, that would be possible anyway since you could just make a n/b tree with hook-nodes on it and place it on the terrain...

Then again, I'm pretty sure the devs are much too busy coding the basics of the actual cars/trucks to be making hooks/ties/ropables or anything similar work in this engine :p

They are a WIP(the hooks and winches) or maybe even done, the D15 has a hook point.

I LOVE this thread because it's pitching so many good ideas about life that fit the game. Life in a game like this shouldn't be about being able to kill people or use guns and stuff. It should be about you and your vehicle. Gas stations and car washes would make this feel more like an..uh.."experience" rather than pointlessly driving around in various vehicles. I also like the idea of winches too. I bet they will include them in the final product anyway.

Hi all. Sorry about the new thread i made like this, Did not see this one in my browsing lol. Anyways. Was also thinking about contactable surfaces. Like snow/mud. So it will push and build up infront of the vehicle when the bumper starts digging in. Love the thought about the gas stations. Would bring a whole new sense of realism. Also have jerrycans you can purchase to bring extra fuel with you on the trail. Also different sprays, aka mud water dirt grass.
Just some more thoughts. Send some feed back :)
