I'm sure everyone was disappointed by the original showing of the new CLS, which the headlights were the worse part of the car. I do agree that the original CLS's headlights were nice.

Move on, there's barely any differences of the exterior to it's previous model years.

Which is brilliant, they realise that its an iconic design and people want it. They know that not everyone wants a modern copy paste luxury SUV (like land rovers entire current line up) and for those that do want that, they have other alternatives.

But if it's repeated over and over again, then it get's repetitive and bland. Atleast I can tell it's a G-Class, so that's one kudo.

Well thats the idea though, it wouldn't be any less repeated if they had just replaced it with another Mercedes GL type mid size SUV and called it a day. They are making to appeal to a certain more niche audience, it may also have some future as a military or work vehicle as the G-wagen always had in the past so simple design is crucial for that.

Well, surprisingly the GLB is supposedly a brother/sister to the new G-Class, although it looks like the drunken version of the G-Class I showed up there in renders.

Yeah thats true, they seem to be pushing more for a wide range of cars to suit basically anyone now so they all have their place.

Uh no. With watercooled setups yeah you shouldn't have to worry about it, but if I were to hot rod my pickup all the time and never let the EGTs come down before shutting it off I'd wreck my turbo pretty fast. Maybe it's different on a gas motor but turbo cool down is certainly no myth on diesels.

Related to the previous Ram discussion, I think I like this version a lot more:

The Rebel has that weird grille and the Limited has squinty headlights, but whatever the above model is actually looks pretty good.

They are sold to demographics that they find will enjoy or fit with the car. Also, I find the name "GLB" to sound very off.

2019 Hyundai Veloster N which has a 275 bhp 2.0L turbo straight-4 (Veloster Turbo still exists).

Totally not a fan of the rear, taillight arrangement kinda makes me think of the new Civic Type R's rear... and yes, it's still a 3-door hatch-coupe-thing mashup. Other than that, it's a fun to drive hot hatch.

On Ford’s side, they announced 2 upcoming vehicles, one will be called the Ford Mach 1 (which will be an electric suv) and the other is the next GT500:

Ford is going to use the Mach 1 name for a freaking SUV? What the hell Ford

At least Hyundai is trying with the Veloster, they just need to add a manual and it might actual sell decently well.

See, I really, really, REALLY like that Veloster. Like, I like it a lot. I like it so much I'd trade my American steed for one.

Hyundai, man. I love them to bits. My dad's had two, my grandmother's had two, all Elantras (and an XG300. My dad misses that car). Dead nuts reliable, cheap to fix, cheap to own, and their most recent efforts actually have a little bit of liveliness to them. I used to be a Toyota guy, but they've ruined almost their entire line up and killed off Scion (I loved the TC), and I just can't get into a Honda or a Nissan. But them Koreans, they know how to make a damn good car.

When I pay off my G35, that's what my next car will be. I love it.
