mike94 updated Satsuma 210 '58 with a new update entry: 5.0 Convertible Update Read the rest of this update entry...
Wankel engine sound very strange. Low rews don't matching with engine sound and are a little too loud. Also there is high pitch sound when we rapidly using gas pedal. Also seats in convertible are very spiky if we land on the roof.
The mod works fine except for a few things. The engine sound for the rotary configs cuts out constantly and I keep getting "High clutch temperature" warnings when I give the car any gas. I cleared my cache and can't seem to figure it out. I do not have any sound mods for the satsuma that would cause conflicts.
There is a problem in the "sa_cvt_1200dxa.pc" file in the zip. The config works if you remove this line from the .pc file: "colors":[ It was left in there when I removed the color lines from every config. There are some other bugs too, mainly the FFB. I'll release a hotfix next weekend. I tried to adjust the rotary sounds, but with little success. More of this below. The seats are pretty high-poly and they have only two nodes per seat like the official vehicles have, so they tend to spike a lot. It happens with other bodies too, but absence of the body nodes above seats in convertible makes the problem worse. Thanks, but I'm not planning to do any police or taxi versions. There will be only one update coming some time in future and it will add some offroad and race suspensions along with some racing skins. I'm gonna start working on some other vehicle project for a change. And for all of you, I have decided what I do next and it's secret until I make a thread for it, so do not suggest new vehicles here. I don't know how to adjust the current rotary sounds any better. At low revs, sound is really quiet and when max volume is higher, sound becomes really loud on full throttle. Transition from idle to rev sound is also pretty bad because of it. Powerful turbo rotary engines may need their own manual transmission, because low mass of the standard clutch causes it to overheat almost instantly on launch under high torque.
I found another strange thing. I landed on the roof and it bends in strange way. Looks like middle section is too strong. About new parts. Drag versions needs better brakes.
When it comes to your next project, can we have any clues on what it could be? Class of car? Era? Country of origin?
I hope the next game update fixes "inRate" of contracting hydros, otherwise only solution for speeding up the mechanism is to make custom lua for it. Next update will add race suspension with ventilated disc brakes. Thanks! Well, I can say that the vehicle won't have any wheels and it's gonna be the first of it's kind in the game.
Could the next update bring derby and banger parts (e.g. welded doors, hood, trunk, rollcages and H-frames, floorplates, number fins, door plates, stronger front suspension geometry)?
@mike94 There is fixed sbeam, rotary should be better in this, try what you think about it. There was small error in one of the values which caused none of engine samples being played between 1900rpm and 3500rpm, also I changed bit of blending and bending Update, I changed a bit of low powered sound too, it blends now bit nicer from idle to rpm.
When I try to drop the soundfix into my folders it refuses to download. i know i have it in the right folder there is absolutely no doubt about that it is not my computer.
