Issues: [ISSUE #1] Missing Material - Created in First Release - Fixed in Third ReleaseI'm currently unsure as of why I am getting a missing material error on the meshes; which is why I am sharing a semi-early beta release. (I generally need to export from blender each time I want to use the vehicle with textures) [ISSUE #2] Broken Textures - Discovered in Release 1 - Fixed in Third ReleaseI've created this issue by fixing missing materials; through modifying the .DAE file to add in the broken materials; thus making the body white. This can only be done by modifying the .dae file during gameplay, but it does fix temporarily the first issue until BeamNG is closed.
Small patch in the OP; broken materials still won't fix, but you can open the .dae file and add/remove a space from the beginning and save when running BeamNG; then reload the file with Ctrl+R to load null white textures.
just did the update and textures work fine now EDIT: nah they are still stuffed, just randomly fixed for one session of the game after the update for some reason
My textures are still all screwed up hopefully you can overcome this problem ( I have downloaded the update already)
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/6/14) Patch on OP: Materials should be fixed now; thanks to Mythbuster for pointing out that I should be copying Gabe's materials and should not have copies of any materials.
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/6/14) Honestly, this needs a lot of work. 1. If you remove the bed, the back of the cab is the back of the seat, and underside of the bed truck is still there 2. Faces have no thickness whatsoever, makes the truck look like it's made of paper. 3. Grille is completely flat, and there's nothing behind the headlights 4. Faces aren't double sided, so they appear invisible from the inside 5. If you remove the tailgate, you can see behind the lights through the bed 6. Smoothing groups on the wheels are somewhat broken 7. Truck could use more polys overall, lots of the parts seem to have too little detail (i.e. fenders) 8. Original D15 mirrors still show up on the truck, as seen here: 9. Jbeam seems to be unmodified, doesn't fit the bed or front bumper properly It does have the potential to be a very good-quality mod if some of this stuff is fixed. NOTE: I do NOT mean to come off as being harsh in this post, I'm just trying to give constructive criticism.
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/6/14) I've just fixed the rear body, added a no bed version, fixed the underbody, made faces double sided, removed the mirrors, improved settings, added a new suspension and lots of other things (see full changelog) As a note, I originally modeled the hilux in sketchup for Rigs of Rods. Pic of fixed rear just for you. Also, patch in OP.
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/8/14) one problem it is not indestructible like this...... lol (imported from here)
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/16/14) Its also not an 80's hilux either I've updated a ton just now, I've been waiting to get a bunch done before this patch and I feel that doing so has payed off. Code: Changelog: Release 5: - Fixes: -> Fixed Fender and Hood meshes -> Moved V6 Exhaust to right spot -> Fixed some materials - Improvements: -> N/B Stability changes - Additions: -> New Versions: --> Drag --> Frame --> T-Rex -> New Parts: --> A few more engines (including Supercharged Hemispherical V8) --> T-Rex parts --> Other various things - Known Bugs: --> Rear Rear T-Rex suspension leaf meshes aren't attached properly
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/6/14) Yes. He knows that. He is pointing out all the bugs and problems so it is easier for derbymutt to fix.
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/16/14) I would so do that to the d15 if 1. Anything I made in blender didn't end up awful 2. There was buoyancy in the game that would be too fun
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/16/14) @Above, I've noticed some cars do float a bit, possibly modifying the vehicle density could allow it to float. Its not dead yet. Expect some interesting things in the next update. ///Teaser\\\ I'm thinking a supercharger with a bug catcher (getting tired of looking at the plastic cap as the only addon), though any ideas would be helpful.
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/16/14) None of them float. They just have different drag values slowing them down by differing amounts. The game does not simulate bouyancy at all, water only provides drag.
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 1/16/14) sped up at the end. It's boat shaped, light, and sinks. I knew it wouldn't work before I made it.
Re: Custom Toyota Hilux (Patch 2/1/14) Sorry about the long delay between patches, had a few things to fix, and some irl stuff came up. Code: Changelog

Release 6: - Changes: -> Parts: --> Engine re-worked --> Toyota V6 puts out 150-170bhp --> Fuel tank capacity changed - Additions: -> New Parts: --> Plastic Engine Cap --> Snorkel Intake --> Sport Intake --> Some special surprise parts - Fixes: -> N/B stability improved again Patch on OP.
