I made a map and saved it as in my documents folder but my question is simple...how do I use it? I understand there is more to it, but what? Do I have to extract the files or something?

You modified and saved an existing map?
Then the game will load your files when you load that map.

No, I added stuff to the plain grid map then I saved it as and nothing loads when I load the grid map. I saved it to the documents folder, do I move the files that were saved to the grid maps folder? Really what I want to know is what I have to do to the files because there is only one files out of the multiple it saved I recognize.
To make this easier to understand I took a screenshot of the folders and their content.
    Beamng's folder inside documents...https://prnt.sc/hlcaxl
    Levels folder inside beamng's.....https://prnt.sc/hlcb2s
Contents of the maps' folder, map is what I named the saved files......https://prnt.sc/hlcb5y

Ok, so I fingered it out. I went to a map, made a new level, saved as, transferred the files from the template file it made, and loaded the map. However the ground is black? Like it has no texture? How do I fix this?

You more likely need to adjust the materials.cs files to have the correct texture path in them.
    Go in Documents/BeamNG.Drive/levels/YOURMAP
Look for any file named 'materials.cs', open in notepad or any other text editor and make sure the texture paths are all pointing to the correct place.
    Save and recheck.
