I can open beamng in a program called "bigscreen" but then I'm looking at a virtual screen playing beam and if I turn my head I turn away from the virtual tv. How do I fill beamng in my vr headset so I can look around? It is a mixed vr headset.
First of all, note that there is no official support for VR: https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#Is_VR_support_planned.3F If anything VR-related you do works, then cool; if not, then there's nothing we can do. That said, you have one officially supported option, which doesn't involve VR: - TrackIR. This hardware detects your head movements and translates them into in-game camera movements. If you combined TrackIR with 3rd party desktop replication software for VR (such as BigScreen, Virtual Desktop, SteamVR, Oculus Dash later in december, etc), then you could have the same virtual-tv experience but with the camera rotation controlled by TrackIR. The use of those VR programs is not officially supported by us, so if you try them and you have issues, that's something we can't do anything about. Additionally, and again NOT officially supported, you can forget about all of that, and instead try VR injectors (such as VorpX). This is software that hijacks the render system of games, attempts to create a render for the second eye, perform image deformation for the vr headset lenses, plugs into the VR runtime to feed it data, etc. This is typically quite some work to get to work correctly, tweaking settings here and there, etc. The results are often not very good, so you may feel uncomfortable if you don't manage to get those settings exactly right. And again, this is 100% unsupported by us, so if you try it, it's at your own risk, and we will NOT be able to help you with any issues you may have. Hope that helps
