This is a List of all Things i noticed that should being changed, or being unintended and all around it. Also Bugs etc. I hope its not to much to read. Spoiler: The Turbo Soundbug you know already I had done more testing of the sound settings. Variable Turbo Chargers(Stage 3) have on all cars weird sounds. I had taken a video to show off whats happening, this was taken while in moded BeamNG. I tried it in Safe mode again with the new Hirochi Rally car and got into the same Audio Problem, so i thought i should not do another video EDIT #1: - Over the N²O symbol is a 'string' with "N2O" sometimes. - I like that you guys have edited much over the past 3 Months and would like to tell you a Thank you! i Waited alot for this and get really impressed. The new Tire break tracks looks awesome! - The engine rocking is cool and because its connected to the exhaust (and of the game engine) it gets to a better feeling while driving. I like this nice detail personally alot - When Car engines does get locked cause of overeving or stuff.. you can hear like a saw inside the engine Example on the end you can hear the saw noise: - In this update you can blow up your engine with cool effects. Also a must have is how the engine compartment should get visibly damaged when the engine blows up Reference (Searched a Hour for this) : - At all you do good work! As you all did ever from the Team! EDIT #2: - Their is no sound when driving on Dirt in East Coast USA (on the NORTH'd dirt road) - SEQUENTIAL Sound Bug: When driving backwards and then Shifting while holding the clutch forward to the second gear and then releasing the clutch will turn the engine off(of course), but you can hear the engine like when you driving backwards in R and turning off the engine via V. Im Testing now the Crashing system you told us is better now and the new Ai pathing EDIT #3: - SLOWMOTION Sound Bug: When Driving and then aplying full Slowmo -> Crashing into another car -> then going back to normal you can still hear the protracted sounds. (i think these sounds doesnt get faster(?)) - You Can hear Environmental Sounds when the game is Pauses via J (Intended?) - A really good work is done with the new Crashing system. You cann barely/thinly see how the parts are going into each other. Which is good (cause in real life no matter would go trough another matter) for BeamNG, except of Tires(sticky), bumpers and lights(?). This is for this kind of simulation the best ive ever seen. Reference: - And a CEF Console appears when pressing CTRL+U (idk if this was before) - When getting into the CAMERA mode and exiting then your normal free camera speed is equal to the latest Camera Mode speed. (Intended?) - (False Positiv, it just takes more then 5 minutes) Loading the World editor while in the Camera mode will result into a Loop (hang) I waited 5 minutes and looked to the RAM Usage from BeamNG.drive.x64.exe which pending around 1.881.XXX K - 1.882.XXX K - The Option to take a Photo inside the CAMERA Mode doesnt work.. or it does but it doesnt give a feedback (dont open a TAB in my Browser as before) - Where can we see how hot the CLUTCH already is? - The Mouse keeps visible, even when 'she' is laying around - their is a new Burning Sound! Sounds Fantastic! - The 'Light Brake' App should have more height, when you have a 6 wheel truck the last both brakes are cutted of by the app height Limit - When accelerating a Vehicle and Quickly tabing to another vehicle you can hear a second the 'hall' effect from the away taped vehicle - The ai is still trying to drive even when they had a crash on more then 200km/h
Thanks! The ones you mentioned work perfectly fine here. Your game might have not updated correctly, please try a clean reinstall: https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#How_do_I_perform_a_clean_reinstall.3F About the sounds issues, we are checking. Please try to not spam too much with that, as it's already at our attention
DDS compression formats are designed to work on GPUs, are fast to decompress and can save a lot of bandwidth during render. JPEGs are not supported because are a cpu lossy format only , you can always use PNG format but will not be approved on the mod repository.
Im also experiencing the same issue as sithhy. The turbo is unbearably loud sadly i cant enjoy the update for the time beeing.
This is just my opinion, the new turbos sound like hair dryers. Would rather have the old sound. Also some exhausts are not connecting to the mufflers and the smoke comes out under the car. Mostly on D series. Other than that the update is great! Love the new map!
IM SO GLAD I FOUND THAT 0.11 RELEASED AND THAT I GOT A NEW GRAPHICS CARD YESTERDAY THANK YOU FOR THIS UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bug report number 2: 1.The loading ramp on the dry van trailer is so slippery that you can not load any cars on race tires on it 2. The drag strip feels wayy to grippy (at least on drag tires) + there is something weird with drag moonhawk suspension (the car rolls over during hard launches on drag strip). 3.T-series automatic transmission doesn't want to shift
This is a bug or bugs that we are still investigating (see first post of the thread). It was definitely not meant to sound like that.
To quote a bit of dev blog from the 14th of October: "The lateral damping of our tire carcass was too low before, but we found a way to increase it by 4-5x by using specialized damping. This has also made the tires feel more direct, predictable, and smooth through ffb." Has this been implemented in this update?
Im getting much worse FPS, before i was getting locked 50 on ECUSA now 38, same settings, also WCUSA has the same issue, ive seen some other people commenting this as well, ive got a really good PC too, GTX 1060 and Ryzen 5 1600 but the FPS is just plain awful. Its a really irritating bug.
So after you crash in slow motion and respawn the sound still plays as if you were crashing until it stops.
Guys, as said earlier, we are checking the sound issue. Please don't start posting the same issue over and over, it's already listed in the first post Nothing changed on that side. Maybe the mods you are using need an update.
@Diamondback Automatic transmissions now lose some torque during shifting What parameter is needed for jbeam or is it “baked” into the Powertrain lua?
