I'm looking up to West Coast USA, But it's going to be for higher end computers lower-end computers will melt
I know I'm looking toward getting an error message every time I try to open WCA up, since my current computer doesn't completely match BeamNG's requirements. I know I couldn't use the maps of the GTA IV airport and the Mafia countryside. I could open them up, but at a certain point the game would crash on me, so I'm positive that WCA is going to be the same exact story. And I'm guessing that I'm able to run Riverside Expressway because of it being a much smaller map than WCA.
I’m not afraid of FPS, neither should you. I believe one of the devs said they would try to make it FPS friendly. Maybe the buildings or street accessories would be forest objects?
You should be good with the graphics settings you use for other stock maps because I know for a fact that the gta4 map requires specs above minimum system requirements, namely ram.
Yeah, it's not really graphics I'm worried about, I think my major issue is ram, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm no computer expert. Here's what I got, according to BeamNG's help section. Processor (CPU) - Yellow exclamation point Graphics Card (GPU) - Green check mark System Memory (RAM) - Red exclamation point When I opened up BeamNG to get this information, it told me that 80% of my system memory is used up.
Hmm... The sound system released in 0.10 was referred to as "audio groundwork", and it looks like that they're going to build on that groundwork right away!
I only wonder if those tram tracks in WCUSA are going to be functional, and we could see a a tram mod or even an base game tram being added.
The GTA IV airport map was terribly optimized. Actually, it was not optimized at all since it had no LOD so the whole map would be loaded at maximum quality all the time, so it was much more demanding than it should.
Thanks Sherlock I think the new map is going to be well optimized since is a newer map, utah runs pretty good imo compared when east coast came out (it was really poorly optimized), so newer maps are getting better and better in terms of optimization.
It is funny how this thread dide right after the announcement of the next update Ot: since this map will have a drag strip... I wonder if it will have more grip than other roads, since it IRL it would. Edit: my phone's on screen keyboard is retarded apparently
It would be cool if the grip changed on one road in the city then another road because one is an older road
