Makes me so sad and angry at the same time. When ive alomst finished my first body-shell of a car i was trying to make i realised its so much work to do Why is it so hard to make a vehicle and why should everything be so complicated? So now im wounder if theres some way to make it a little bit easy for a beginner? I now realise why so small amount of people try to mod their selfs.
I think you should start practicing with something basic and simple, like a mug, for example. Watch tutorials on youtube and keep practicing. You'll get to a point when you will be ready, so don't worry.
i get it. ive never tried to make a mod because i havent had the time or motivation. No I dont think there is a way to make it easier. If you havent already, find yourself motivation!
I would love to make a car mod, but the thing is im getting so upset all the time becouse stuff isnt going the way i want, so to the pople who can mod out there, PLEASE MAKE MORE MODS!!!! would really [h=3]appreciat <3[/h][h=3][/h]
Don't worry, Making a car in 3d is always tricky at first. It's true that there is a lot of work to to, and there is no getting around that, but I have some tips which may seem worthwhile and enjoyable. 1. Do something you like/have a purpose for: If you make a car, or anything for that matter, make something you enjoy or would please you. There is no point in making something you have no interest in just as a means of improving skills, you will just lose interest when it becomes tricky. If you do have an interest to what you're making, you would be surprised at what you ca do (I certainly was) 2. Know the software, be one with the software: It's a very important point, if you don't know your software, making something becomes all the more harder. Most people seem to be using 3DS Max or Blender, but these can be tricky to use, especially for beginners. Also, don't underestimate SketchUp. It's a lot more beginner friendly than most programs. Most seem to think it's redundant because you can't make proper game meshes in it, but this is not true. Just have a look at Paul B or Mitchieboy's cars. It does not really matter what software you use, what matters is that you know how to use it 3. Reference and Understanding: Modeling a car is a lot easier if you know how a car works, especially when it comes to the chassis and internal components (suspension and such). Make sure you do plenty of research and collect as much reference material as you can find, it will help you greatly with your modeling, and enables more accurate results. 4. Have a look at other models: look at the structure of other models and examine how they are made. If you use similar techniques to professional models, your model will look a lot better. Gabester made a blog post about vehicle workflow, which is worth a read and is helpful. You can also examine his cars to get an idea of how the poly structure should look. You can also look at other WIP threads to see how people make their cars 5. Feedback: You can post pictures of your work here as you make it, there are plenty of people here that can give constructive criticism and help you to make better models. Thats about it for now, so long as you are determined and don't give up because something does not work the way you wanted it, you too can make great models ^_^
