I haven't played since the update (prior actually) and I've complicated my setup since then, but when I finally dragged my wheel back out of the closet and booted up the game the volume was inaudibly low.
I've got an external receiver running through HDMI and the game volume is somewhere around maybe 25% of the rest of the system sounds. With my PC volume maxed it's barely audible and also sounds strangely muffled. I tried to look at audio debug, but either it's not working or I flat out don't know how to use it. I'm assuming it has something to do with FMOD.

For most things its between 50-100 since some things like to be rather quiet, but nothing else is as quiet as Beam.

I suppose you checked that in Options > Audio, the sliders are not set too low?

I have the same issue, everything under Options>Audio seems normal.

Okay must be game related then, I run my game at 100% but I have the Windows Audio set to 50% because I am wearing headphones and I do like my eardrums (with added tinnitus!) but thats how I run mine

Everything is at max, and nothing else has changed between then/now besides being run through HDMI. Maybe that's an issue?
    What's your sound setup?
