More Crash Particles - Pieces of car (Random springs, nuts, bolts, ect.) flying off when you hit something hard enough.

Afterfire/Backfire (no, they are not the same thing!) - Who doesn't like a little flame shooting out of your muffler??

Dirt On Cars And Tires - When you're driving through sand, dirt, mud, or snow your tires should get dirty.

Dirt/Grass On Tires - If you're on some sort of racing slicks and you drive in dirt sond or grass then you should lose some traction until all the dirt or grass or whatever's on it comes off.

Better Sparks - The sparks on BeamNG look really clunky... I just feel like they could use a touch up and maybe make them bounce a couple of times before disappearing.

The Ability to Cause Mechanical Faults - There needs to be an UI app that allows us to make certain things to go wrong in the car. Such as, radiator faults, oil leaks, blowing head gasket, turbo faults, deflating a select tire, brake failures, ect.

Brake Glow - If disc brakes get hot enough, they should glow red.

Brake Squeal - There should be worn brake pads that you can equip in the Parts Selector that squeal when you brake.

More Sounds - Blinkers, sirens, horns, parking brake (on some of the older cars), water splashing, sand/dirt sounds, scraping sounds, more realistic turbo/supercharger sounds (especially in the interior) [also thanks, Twindaddy]

Sound Changing (idk how to describe this...) - Sounds need to change when a door falls off in the cockpit camera.

Destructible Trees - Some smaller tress should break if you hit them too hard, thus getting rid of hitting tiny bushes and they destroy your poor radiator and front bumper [Thanks, nathancats]

Stuff Sticking To Cars - It should really have things stick to cars and the windshield like dirt or water with the water dripping from the car once you get out of the water. Also, mud that sticks to where the car was submerged in the mud? [Ayy... thanks cookies and milk]

If I think of anything else I'll add it

A lot of this has been discussed before. Some of these are just limitations of optimization and how textures currently work in game. (Shrapnel, sparks as you described, dynamic dirt on cars)
I imagine some of it (like brake glow) is planned but low priority.

More beater parts and control over failures would be nice. It's so difficult to get an overheated turbo now (even though the damage in game is accelerated compared to real life) because more important stuff almost always melts first.

Yea, most of this, I'm sure, is low priority. And that's understandable! With two (or more?) new cars on the way and a couple new maps... Id rather the devs to focus on those things before any of my suggestions.

Why did you ask which color is better out of the two and then give us multiple votes?

I like both colors. Anyways, I those are some pretty good ideas! All those things are possible. Just might be a while.

Yess!!! This is exactly what I was thinking. When crashing nothing falls off except the body panels (or not because they get stuck) but no engine parts or springs etc. Also the dirt is nice.

Backfiring is a good idea. It's small detail but it looks amazing.

like this. Who doesn't like a good backfire?

I like the Idea of more particles... feels like it would make crashes much more dramatic.

    P.S. Evie, you suck <3

Agreed, and there should also be water splash sounds, blinker sounds, horns, and dirt sounds. And I also think that gas caps should be on the cars. I know some car mods have gas caps on them.

If you have random bits fly off, that's not realistic.

It would be realistic if, say, you see bits of the ECU fly off and the engine stops working, or the cambelt falls off and the engine grinds itself up (only for interference engines).

Not bits fly off completely, I'm guessing particles for random bits of metal and plastic.

Also fuel door. That can swing open.

Peter made one a while back but didn't release it (yet). There also a few mods that have them as part of the car texture. And the oldsfulsize caprice wagon (I dunno about the other cars) has a gas cap that disappears when crashed.

The Oldsmobile car mod has parts that are worn, don't work well, on the junkyard model car.

Oh yeah I remember that Oldsmobile mod it was one of my favourites. And the junkyard model has a weaker body so it's less safe

Well...have I got news for you all on this....
Turns out that in the early versions of BeamNG.drive, there were quite a lot of crash particles. You can see these in this video down below at 2:00 and 2:20 in particular.
