Ground is continuous through both regulator topologies. Its not because its switching that the arse blows out. Should also be noted the input is switched in both topologies, it must be a BJT in the linear topology though in the switching topology its often a mosfet or a darlington pair. --- Post updated --- Oscilloscopes in particular should always float. The ground clip of the probe becoming earth referenced is a major hazard and so most scopes are not grounded, they are deliberately floated --- Post updated --- I've built a discrete linear regulator before, mostly because reasons. Also built a switch mode boost converter which is similar to buck but with the switch, diode and inductor moved around anti clockwise 1 position in the buck converter diagram which instead increases voltage rather than decrease as the inductor field collapse is in series with the supply voltage, but I used an automotive relay for the inductor and a cherry MX clear I had to hammer on really quickly as the switch, it worked well. I need to get a big enough nfet and pfet to handle the load I want to run though, probably going to build synchronous dual switch setup
Part of me wants to go through this receiver and replace all the electrolytics in it being that they're 40 years old now, the other half of me want's to be lasy and just wait for something to fail... Must admit though it's really nice looking into a fully recapped peice of stereo equipment, all those lovely blue and gold Panasonic FC's (I'm butthurt for Panny FC's)
Today in lunch at school, I was using my Macbook on the dolphin emulator (Wii emulator) I was playing Wii sports bowling with a wii controller and one of the lunch ladies walked up to me and was like "... Is that... WII BOWLLING?! how did you do that ?" so i was like its an emulator it allows you yo play other game systems games on a different system and she was all like" whats an emulator wtf that gay sh*t" and called EVERY OTHER lunch ladie to watch me play wii sports at lunch
I've just ran into a DirectX compatability issue with one of my older systems. Quite odd, never have had that issue before, I usually retire them before such an event can occur.
All of my departments computers are fully unlocked, dual booting Ubutu and Win10. No user accounts, every student uses the same password to log on (with keycards and security cameras to log who enter/exits the labs), hence every student has full root access under Linux and full Windows access. We can install whatever software/drivers needed to do our work and there are no internet filtering systems (I imagine porn is blocked but can't say I want to test). All computers are I7's, use Samsung 500GB SSD's and have at least gtx750ti's with many PC's having gtx970's. Also 1440p IPS monitors. It must be said, ~£9000 a year tuition fee's doesn't get you nothing. However it does get you a lot of debt...
I start my new job on Friday. My job title is Refurbishment Operator. It's a full time position, which is incredible for my first job.
Meanwhile, my 21-year-old cat is developing a VERY broken meow. Seriously, it sounds like "ma-eee-oow", or it can sound like "meee-eow". Geez, that can sound a little annoying after a while.
Hey guys. Noone on this thread wants to know about your sexuality, political opinions, religions or whatever. Please take that onto another thread, or another forum for that matter. This is not the place for discussing such sensitive matters Thankyou and happy chatting!

Ya'll remember this sh*t? Spoiler: the past The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start. {the pacer test music was lit} I can still here "Up down up down up down in my nightmares... (I have only done like 3 pushups max
