Maybe like the RE-7B from GTA 5?

 

I don't think that would fit very well with the modern LMP car look. It would be somewhat odd to use a Group C rear end with a car 20-30 years ahead in design.

 

How about the real thing instead of a fantasy version? (your answer, opkraut, still applies here most likely).

 

So in other words ditch the aero complexity and mount the wing from the back?

I've decided that I'm not going to go with the Ford Gt rear end, it's really difficult to integrate it and it quite frankly looks ridiculous and therefore won't make an appearance anywhere in the mod. As for the Mazda 787B I think that's 100% possible to integrate well.

 

Just asking, what about this? I don't really think the rear of the 787B fits on a modern LMP car.

This is what the default look of the car will be similar to. The 787B wont make an appearance as the default car.

 

What about a modern interpretation of the Porche "Moby Dick"?

 

In my opinion looks ridiculous but it looks like it wouldn't be too time time consuming so I'll see what I can do.

 

Now that there are some ideas for the rear end how about some ideas for the front.

On the original ERP1 it had some fenders that I would believe to be more aerodynamic or wing shaped like this. Area is marked with red circle.


However on newer LMP1 cars they seem to feature fenders that are much more upright and most likely aren't as aerodynamic, also marked with red circles.


Please note that the unique rear ends also will include fenders or front end, the Mazda 787B will have a front end that will only be used for itself. I haven't started on the porsche moby dick but I'm fairly certain that it will not need a unique front end in order to match the rest of the car.

Before I start the poll tomorrow for which will be in the default car, please make your own suggestions. That way your ideas can be in the poll and perhaps stand a chance of being part of the default vehicle.
Also does anyone want to see the 787B rear end right now?

 

I would want a more XJR-15 Rear end

 

Here is the majority of the 787B rear end finished, the mid section where the window would be located is lowered to allow for modern styling.
