I did a mod to gabester's awesome D15 truck, A solid front axle from the 6x6 D15, But none of the mesh for the wheels, axle, suspension shows up ingame, I know the axle worked because you can see the node beam structure. suspension.png

Did you edit the .DAE to include the new parts from the 6x6?

I have no Idea how to do that.. I think i know what your talking about, Dont I have to put the axle and what not under the standard D15 and make them individual parts? Can I use sketchup for this?

There are many ways to do it, and it is necessary for a mod like you are making to work. I use blender to modify and create meshes, you would need to copy over the mesh for the new axle and any other parts you copied from the 6x6 jbeam. I suggest searching the forums before creating a thread next time, there's an answer to just about every question you could have, already out there.

Also- If you haven't already, you should really ask the creator of the 6x6 mod 'dkutch' for permission to use his work in your own mod..

Modding in BeamNG was supposed to be easier then ROR, not. Especially if you have no mesh skills/experience whatsoever.

If you have no mesh skills or experience whatsoever, why do you expect it to be easy? You need to be skilled in something in order to successfully do it. BeamNG is not designed to teach people how to model. The file format and syntax, as well as the parts system are miles ahead of Rigs of Rods in flexibility and elegance.

So why do you send me a PM asking if it's ok, when you've obviously already went and used my Jbeam anyways?

Yes I know it is, Its a great accomplishment what you guys have done here, and seeing as this was my first ever try and make something work on BeamNG, Im gonna have failures. I know BeamNG is not supposed to teach me, Im old school, just go into the truck file and add something here, change that there, lower it here, give it power there. That wasnt that hard is what I meant to say.

Well, at first I didnt really think it mattered if it was for personal use only, wasnt even going to post it on youtube or nothing, I just wanted to see how it behaved on rocks and what not, which it does much better. But now that you said no, I know its not. Thank you for your time.
