Sad times. I guess you could go back to 0.4.0.x and relive the DX9 experience, if you want to play the game still.
It's just a general problem with 0.10. Maybe a few hotfixes later the FPS will be about the same as 0.9, if not better.
Another concept for the RPG I'm Never Going To Make: Swing Time City (just the name of the concept; the city itself will probably have a different name). Essentially a fusion of Stardust Speedway and Moonside. The city's buildings would be ornamented with bits that look like trumpets and saxophones (overall a somewhat baroque appearance), and at night the city would be lit by garish neon lights. It would be home to the Swing Time Club, a 50's-esque joint with an aesthetic inspired loosely by the Burnside Special. This would be where the player meets a jazz band, similar in concept to the Runaway Five. I need a name for these guys.
I'd recommend the 30's or 40's. That's when swing and Art Deco was more popular. Nice idea regardless!
They did switch to full volumetric simulation, which is very intensive. I bet it will be all good in 0.10.1
If your FPS has dropped from playable to not playable then something has gone wrong. Try disabling all mods, check your graphics settings are the same and worst comes to worst reinstall the game. For what it is worth I haven't noticed any difference to the FPS, the game still runs smooth when I fullscreen it and runs choppy when windowed.

Came back from doing some stuff for a few hours to find my keyboard and mouse gone. Apparently my dad thinks mycomputer usage is too excessive(my brother is worse but his Xbox was left alone). Or he's just annoyed that I can't hear him through noise cancelling headphones that are playing music. Or he was just mad and decided to take it out on me. I don't know what he did with my keyboard and mouse though. I hope he didn't throw them in the trash.
I remember one of my mouses having issues in which it would act as if I clicked twice when I only pressed it once.
Welcome to crap parenting 101. Rather than teaching moderation, just take the thing away altogether so your kids will never learn... And to make sure it is super effective don't tell them why, good to keep them guessing.
Admittedly I do use the computer a lot, but my parents don't exactly help me with that. Buy the cheapest crap possible that breaks after 6 months, and don't give him enough of an allowance to buy his own stuff($5 a week for lawn mowing, cleaning pool, pulling weeds, etc.) --- Post updated --- Apparently it's because we had a small argument about some random thing(don't even remember) and I"lied to him"(I didn't) and I should "not bother him about it." I think I am going to bother him about it, as he took away my main form of entertainment/contact with friends for a stupid reason because he was mad.
$5 a week ($260 /year) is pretty good tbh. I didn't get pocket money when I was with my parents, just Birthdays and Christmas. However I have been getting pocket money from my grandparents for a couple years now, I presume that is due to pocket money being tax free.
