I don't know what's up with automatic mode right now; it will be fixed.

But until then, please use manual mode. I plan to have manual default.

Ok, so I apparently set the high shift up rpm to less than 3800, which caused to shift into 6th every time rpm exceeded 3800.

Working very well now, I'll update download.

Fantastic work so far. Very glad you're (someone) is working on such a legendary car!

The grand marshal is a body on frame design and I believe this car isn't, its unibody. Wouldn't it make more sense to modify a car that is unibody, the Ibishu covet? The issue is the grand marshal is inherently crap at acting anything like a unibody car simply because it isn't.

Ît´s really the first driveABLE version :D
And i really like it so far! It handles pretty well, it deforms right now good and It has a functional steering wheel.
If it was a release i would tell you about tons of bugs, but this is the very early alpha ^^

Great so far, good luck with textures etc.!

I am still working on it. For now, I just wanted to get it into the game and out to you critics.

If you could release one with visible wheels and without bugged pieces that don't rotate it'd be great.

I don't think it was ready for a release... Trust me I made the same mistake.

EDIT: I just let it sit for 1 minute.. Did you bother testing it?

Yes. I am aware that it doesn't show the wheels, and that it tends to pull itself apart if it sits for a while.

Once again, I'm working on it...

Though, what was the mistake I made with the jbeam files?

Hot damn; I fixed everything. Ready to work on graphics. And other things, too. I'm exaggerating when I say everything :3

It looks like you're making steady progress, but, as DrowsySam said, I think you released this car too early. When you release something in such an early state, people notice all the bugs and issues. Screenshots are great for showing progress, but releasing a beta isn't good unless you have a stable, playable, partially complete mod to show. Still, the mod looks great so far. I can't wait to see what you do in the future. Good luck!

Thanks! I like how you end on a positive note.

Looking back, I agree it was released a little too early.
I did, however want to get word out, and I know how some people really love constant small updates (though they are few).
Anyways, what I mean to say is that I'm sure at least one person has really appreciated my efforts, and he or she or they are the reason that I do post these daily updates.
Because I know how that feels from my experience working in small communities like this.

I am one of those few people who enjoy these small updates. I do agree, make sure that it is at least its own vehicle (I do not enjoy same-name jbeams, as when they conflict, I have to restart the game before stuff gets glitchy), and that it has its own wheels. I do love the model of the car though! Very common!
(What I mean by common is something that you will usually see on the road, or something similar looking, instead of some exotic car that you have never seen IRL)

The grey area around this car is what I love about it. It's a simple, generic looking sedan, with a sleepy face and a long aerospacey body kit (all of this I'm absolutely in love with).
Then there's its immense power, balanced handling, and rarity to make it more than a looker.
And then there's only 200-ish left, so they're rare as Iridium!
I'd never like Lotus before I heard about this old beast, and now I like their deigns more than ever because of the Carlton.

Just for this project, I've probably spent 20 hours just trying to find good pictures and torque curves and mechanical diagrams (of which there are very few left online)

I know, but the car design, like kyle said, is quite family-sedan-ish. Think of some exotic family van (if there is one lol), and then a Grand Caravan, which you see a lot. Would you rather smash the uncommon-looking van that you have not seen on the road before, or would you smash that Grand Caravan, that you may or may not have a visual relationship with it IRL (maybe you have a really jerky neighbor that drives one), and you have always wanted to see it in a pileup.

All in all, yes, smashing a super sexy supercar can be fun, but admit it, you have always wanted some kind of car that is very common in your life in whatever racing game you play.

Yea i get the allure of it. A lot of the cars I have in forza 4 are honda civics, 240sx, the older subarus that i could pick up off craigslist for 2 grand, etc. They're more fun to mod and race imo. I hardly ever drive the paganis and what not.

I went through the engine and gear ratios, you had the gear ratios and axle ratios right. I did however fix the engine and rename it. It makes a perfect 380 horsepower now with a correct torque curve. 0-60 is about 5.4-5.6 seconds with a good launch. I also removed the ABS and changed the brake bias a bit to help combat the big vibrations the car gets during braking however I noticed for some reason that the front brakes are not working. I'm currently trying to find out why.

Great! I'd appreciate it if you could send it to me at ky13harbor9@gmail.com

Edit: I've also fixed up the torque curve, and it's doing 1-60 in 5.5 ish, but HP only at 350 and I'm afraid to raise the torque any more.
