Could happen with certain (maybe uncommon) resolutions and/or in full-screen. Note that ALT+P is the tiled-screenshot by the way. The normal screenshot button is CTRL+P
But why don't you reduce the camera speed then? Either with alt + scrollwheel or by changing it in the camera mini settings window.
I seen to have some trouble with the AI in chase mode, after landing a jump they like to stop and turn around and drive the opposite way 10 -20 meters and than turn around again and continue the chase. It did not use to be like this before the update, hope there is any way to fix this. It is on a long area where I use the *orange AI waypoints* It can be tested on my Crash Hard map (the broken highway)
:| So I finally got a chance to try out this hotfix, and in my mind, even though it works much better for driving, the shifting system tweaks are even worse now. My biggest problem before was just the damn delay, it took too long, it's better now, not fully great though, but now the whole auto clutch until the shift is done thing has made it so there's no punishment unless you neglect the clutch all together. Before when i set the shift delay to 0 I could still grind gears if i was too gung-ho. Now I just get babied through a still delayed shift. Not to mention all that work of making the shifting system more usable is now gone. I really don't wanna have to spend an hour making all the manual transmission pleasant again, and i'm not going to with this new clutch mechanic until i find out how to rid my game of it. I really don't get why this stuff is not getting options in the gameplay tab, give us choice. I understand these features have a purpose, and others may like them, but I'm playing a game where i can chose whether i want the car i'm driving to even be a car, I get the choice to drive a frame if i so choose. Why the hell can i not chose whether I want my gears to actually shift when i hit the button? And Why is it that when i have "clutch assist" turned off the game is still trying to help me with the concept of using the clutch? If there is a way for me to just negate the shift delay and this clutch system for all vehicles in the game please make aware of it. I'm frustrated, and i just want to be able to enjoy this game.
If you turn off the clutch assistant then there's nothing preventing you from not using the clutch if you so desire. (unless you are a victim of the weird settings bug ofc, no idea if that is still around...)
A dev replied to me specifically talking about the implementing of this feature, i can't find it at this point but below is a video showing it. I realize now I've used the wrong recording settings and the video is quite laggy, but you can still understand what I mean. When i'm shifting here I'm just hitting the clutch when i hit the shift button and then i immediately let it go and i hold full throttle the entire time. The game keeping the clutch depressed until the shift is complete. --- Post updated --- After reading more post looking for that response i realize some people are just not getting the problem with this system. Realism is great and all, and values used for these delays aren't crazy high, but the problem is the disconnect. On a controller or keyboard we aren't the one moving the gear knob, we have no feedback as to when to release the clutch. We can't decide when to go easier or hard, it's just a QTE effectively. That's the problem with the gameplay for people. My biggest problem was never even these changes themselves but instead the lack of choice for the player. I feel these changes while to a degree are realistic they're mostly just a hindrance. I actually really enjoyed the way 0.10 shifting worked once i got rid of the shift delay. But now it's really fucked, like want to make a support claim level of fucked, like don't wanna play anymore level of fucked, like genuinely sad level of fucked. It doesn't feel like a feature it feels like a bug. All I want is the option get rid of this built in half way auto clutch and the shift delay, love the grinding gears when i get stupid just not all the crap getting in the way of me doing so.
I just think the manual gearbox shifts too fast now. I got used to the delay on the previous version and I think it is quite realistic. The shifting time now feels like I'm ripping off the gear selector everytime I shift. Minor thing though. I can always mod the manual transmission myself to add more delay. That's what I really love about this game. When things aren't to your liking, tweak it yourself as long as it is possible!
have a bug with the arcade gearbox, exp: RWD car, select arcade gearbox and lift the car from the ground and try to rotate the not driven wheels (front wheels) it feels like it is braking or stuck, with realistic gearbox is everything is ok!
For the new sounds, are there some requirements? I tried to add them to an old mod just the same way I did with some newer mods and it still sounds the same.
If you do that, you will get mis-shifts with gear grinding (without the clutch hold), why would you want that if you try to clutch in the first place? That's exactly the idea, the game keeps the clutch pressed exactly as long as required to pass the shift. Which again is why we added above mentioned clutch hold, you don't need feedback anymore. Press it once while shifting and that will be enough to make the shift. Even more so, it will be as fast as possible.
Hello, I´m thinks, that the automatic arcade shifting shifts not realistic, because it shifts at very high rpm. My automatic car shifts at 3000-4000 rpm.
My point in the video was to show the feature i was talking about, it seemed the dev that was responding to my post didn't understand. My issue now is 1 I have clutch assist disabled, why would the game be attempting to assist me with the clutch, that's not very intuitive. 2 like i said before once I changed the shift delays to 0 everything was lovely in 0.10, honestly some of the most fun i've had in the game. My biggest gripe is that these major changes that are preferential are being forced onto everyone. I'm clearly not the only one not enjoying them, it can't be that hard to just make it another option in the gameplay tab. If I could just play the game without this new clutch assist and without the shift delays I would be so much happier. That's why i asked in the initial post how I could get rid of it within my own game. This is super frustrating.
