@Diamondback , what I did today was to record the shifter bug.

At this video, the transmission mode was set to realistic but was arcade for some reason. I hope this does describe the problem.

Also, in this video mods are on, but I've tested that it does also happen with cleared cache, no mods and safe mode.

EDIT: So it seems that to fix this problem, simply use the shifter to set it to realistic mode, and then switch to another car. Then you can freely choose any car, and it'll have realistic mode. But it sometimes randomly sets it again to arcade when you choose random config after some time. Then you need to repeat the "fix." But the problem does disappear only for a while.

Just thinking, with the new sound system in play I'd like to see a few things happen to make accidents sound right. With the skid sounds I wonder if that could be used to deal with bodywork scraping situations. it'd be nice to have a couple more sounds in play. Scraping metal and scraping plastic.

and some percussion sounds on impact would be nice. The low bassy thud you get when a body panel "pops" or something.

Yep, saddening but almost nothing line up with the mesh!
Hope the BNG team fix this issue in future.
Check the suspensions and you can find many thing which not line up with the mesh or if you find one which line up:)
    Update:
comparable pictures... the comparison generic cars you find in BeamNG.
    screenshot_00129.png screenshot_00130.png
    This which line up!
nobody don't need to misunderstand this, i like this game and all, just frustrating why the N/B not accurate enough.

    Despite this:

"Steam photos taken in Photo Mode will no longer show UI in the screenshot"

The issue of the UI appearing in the screenshots persist and has got even worse:

This is 10.0.0 (same as in previous versions:

    screenshot_02470.png

    And this is 10.0.1:

    screenshot_02483.png

Both made by clicking the "take picture" button in the UI.

Once in a while I randomly get a "clean" screenshot. I've tried the alt-U alt -P workaround but while it gests rid of the UI it seems to take out quality features like shadows and scenery detail.

BTW when I'm taking screenshots I use max settings (and consequently get low fps) in case it has anything to do.

Same here, it took me 4 tries to take 1 screenshot.
(These are all separate screenshots, BTW)

Does it happen with lowest settings? (Or whatever your PC manages to give you more than 30FPS)

I will now, since it's finally been noticed and acknowledged. It's bothered me that the issue has existed since thermals came out, and despite pointing it out in almost every update feedback thread it was never fixed.

Wait, it updated AGAIN? Wow, so many 0s and 1s. Let's call this the binary update.

Try after clicking the take picture icon, moving the mouse as far as possible from the button.

It is not the NB that is innacurate, it is the mesh. The NB has correct geometry in many cases is measured from real cars now. However the mesh is "artist interpretation" and was mostly created before we had better information or understanding of suspension geometry. Anything more than small changes to the meshes will mess up the textures so it's not worth the effort to go back at this point, better to keep working on new content ;)

The patch definitely made the transmissions behave better. However, it still feels like they hang just a little bit too long still, especially between 3-4th gear waiting for the aggression to drop down. Also, downshifts are much slower, particularly on older cars. You floor it, it drops a gear, waits a sec, drops another, waits, drops another and then you're finally off. It also feels like the Barstow transmission slips a lot more, in 3rd if you floor it, the revs will rise by about 1500, but it'll remain in 3rd, I dont remember it being like that before

    @Diamondback

    • Added configurable torque loss during shifts for automatic transmissions
What parameter is needed in jbeam?

Yes it is seem to be true, because i checked the latest released cars and the suspension N/B is more accurate to the mesh!
    example:
    Bruckell LeGran
    Ibishu Hopper

But otherways can you do something with the old cars to get more accurate? other ways looks like a russian mod, can you put on it whatewer mesh you want!
hope i see more interesting improvements in the early future, like was in the latest update!

One thing I have noticed recently is the fact that there is junk items under maps like Utah, like a random floating box under the map, and random trash under the map under the trashcan.
