I sometimes play on [TC] Minecraft, a lot of Live For Speed players who also play Minecraft go there. It's whitelisted though.
I play single player, never saw the appeal of public servers. Back in 2012ish a bunch of my friends from school had a couple of private servers, we had some great times back then... I hate to be the "back in my day" guy, but I really hate what has happened to the game since the sale to Microsoft. I can't believe Notch decided to leave the team for the reasons he had. The younger target audience has resulted in some seriously weird stuff (anyone actually read the Microsoft era crash reports? Ugh...) and the game play has changed a lot. They've been ignoring the old school players and technical builders. I've been debating playing in older versions, but there's too much content I would miss, and the game does run a lot better now. I haven't had a crash or currupt save in months. I do use a texture pack to restore some of the old sounds and textures.
ever since microsoft bought minecraft shit went downhill. downhill faster then takumi's eight-six. xd
I actually made a mudpack on my old computer. When I play now I mostly build in singleplayer or go to a multiplayer server.
