    To explain:
I made a aliarc bumper and all the bars and main bumper of are made of different pieces
they were "joined together" to work for beamng but I have noticed that most models per jbeam file are one big piece with no breaks in the models
    So I wonder:
Could I link everything together with edges and have it deform without spikes?

With the node & beam system, there's going to be almost no difference with edges in the model there and without.
However, I am not the creator of the system, so I don't know all, nor have I actually tried it.

Despite appearances, BeamNG models aren't continuous. There are plenty of "floating" pieces without any attachment to the actual mesh. The main determinant of deformation quality in my experience is the uniformity/consistency of the mesh and the quality of the JBeam (being sure to map meshes to node groups). It also helps to have JBeam nodes close to mesh nodes.
