I did a series of crash tests with all the default cars where the car hits a block at 40 mph.

Gavril D15: the front end is smashed, but the cab is in near perfect condition. This car gets a safety rating of 4.5 stars.
    screenshot_00132.png

Ibishu Covet: the front end is obliterated and the cab is badly deformed, with the door almost coming off. This car gets a safety rating of 2.5 stars, the worst safety rating of all.
    screenshot_00133.png

Gavril Grand Marshall: the front end has sustained little damage and the cab is in perfect condition. This car gets a safety rating of 5 stars, the best safety rating of all the stock cars.
    screenshot_00134.png

Civetta Bolide: the front end is very damaged, and the cab has been visibly bent. This car gets a safety rating of 4 stars.
    screenshot_00135.png

Gavril H15 Vanster: the front end has sustained medium damage and the cab is slightly deformed. This car also gets a safety rating of 4 stars.
    screenshot_00136.png

Bruckell Moonhawk: the front end is wrecked and the cab is a bit deformed. This car gets a safety rating of 3.8 stars.

actually, the worst rating would be 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 and so on

also, the grand marshal should be the worst, that thing crashes horrible, i think you cheated

    Very nice :)

Interesting to read and look, well done :D

Reminds me of this I made about year ago in RoR

E: Would be nice if you continue this when new cars (official) are released

Which is mathematically equal to 0

The grand marshal whether by happy accident or intentional seems to have a fairly effective front crumple zone which really helps survivability in these sorts of accidents. I've seen similar results from higher speed collisions. I've even had the passenger cell mostly intact from a 100mph collision although the occupants would probably be converted to paste in the process.
The covet also has a crumple zone its just unfortunate that it happens to be located approximately in your face.

Too bad we never hear or see any updates of the Pigeon. I wonder if gabester is still working on it. The last time we've seen anything from it was in the livestreams before the alpha release. I remember gabester saying there was a problem with collisions.

I don't think that he would just stop working on them. Just like, "I'm done. Screw this car". I'm sure sometimes he wishes he could. But it's his job. He kinda has a commitment to finish them now. I hope people don't take that wrong.

I did a little comparison between the stock Ibishu Covet and the Ibishu Covet MRi. I crashed them both into a barrier at exactly 60 mph.
    screenshot_00143.jpg screenshot_00142.png
As you can see, the stock Covet is completely obliterated, but the rollcage on the MRi version prevented the cab from getting squished, massively increasing the car's safety rating.
    Stock Covet: 2.5 stars
    Covet MRi: 4.5 stars

Lack of engine/near hollow front could also be cushioning the impact.

Try the H15 supervan as that also lacks a front engine.

I crashed the stock H15 and the H15 supervan into the same solid wall at 60 mph, here are the results:
    screenshot_00146.png screenshot_00147.png
As you can see, there isn't much of a difference between the two in this crash, except for the fact that the supervan ended up with a much more damaged rear end.

Now the pigeon is out I decided to crash test it. Same speed as the others, same crash exactly.
    screenshot_00001.jpg
The front end is heavily holyshitwhatthefuck-ed, and the cab is bent enough for the door to pop out of place.
This car is actually much sturdier than I thought it would be, I give it a 3.5 star safety rating.

    It deserves 1 star.

The car has no crumple zones or air bags, so you probably will die because you are taking the entire brunt of the impact.
