I live within a couple minutes of a fairly large airport that hosts a large airshow every year so there tends to be some interesting things around. Last year I heard the B-52 taking off very clearly from where I live. Sadly I never saw it in the air. They also had a B-17 and B-25, both in flying condition, was awesome to see them. That must be quite sad indeed for anyone who likes planes. There are cessna's flying around all the time here, as well as a number of helicopters I've seen so many times. During parts of the year, I can see gliders many times a day almost every day. There are often large passenger jets visible high above, but the ones landing and taking off aren't really visible. I often see firefighting aircraft and c-130's too. I should stop listing random planes now. While many people would find all the planes annoying, I enjoy them. @B727TheAirliner There's also a 727 that sits at the airport all the time. It was donated to a university, so I guess they use it somehow for aviation courses. It's also on display at the airshow normally.
Where I live the red arrows seem to fly fairly often. Other than that the odd helicopter and military planes is all I get. Saw this one overhead at home a few days ago, no idea what it is though. Not that I know anything about planes outside of flying one in flight Sim.
I'm excited because the Blue Angels are finally going to perform at Airventure this year. They haven't in previous years because they need a certain area surrounding the airfield to be closed off while performing, which the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) finally did this year. To give an idea of how big this event is, All those planes down there flew in for this. That's not even showing the other 3/4 of the event either. The airport becomes the busiest airport in the world during Airventure, topping big cities like Chicago and London. The most amazing part of all of this is that the EAA runs as a nonprofit organization. It's an amazing community, and it really is a bucketlist event. Even if you have a very slight interest in planes, it's more than worth it.
It is. I am currently on holiday, the light aircraft are here. Things mentioned in that comment are at my current main place of living.
There's a seaplane dock about a kilometre from my house. They fly in and out all day. Mostly de Havilland Beavers and DHC-6's.
Then they are mostly likely perma-banned. However, if you are talking about Rainvest, I can see his profile... nvm...
Well, i've started coding. Well I spent the last week learning and now I am actually doing something. hoping to do something more complex soon... I am using python by the way because I don't like big syntax and I cannot lie.
Almost two months ago now my iPhone took a dump and I'm still peeved as fuck about it. Just died. Out of nowhere. Out like a lightbulb. Never came back. Fucking piece of junk. Year and a half old phone. Didn't back any of my shit up either.
