I know that this isn't a request thread but a late 50s- late 60s british luxury car that was more expensive than a commoner car (Vauxhall or ford), yet cheaper than something like a Jaguar would be nice to see in the future. Taking styling cues from the Humber Super Snipe/Hawk and Rover P5 while being powered by either an i4 or an I6. leather seats and trim, wood grain dash and some trimming, back seat picnic tables and an exterior that's trying to act like its american yet still seems British, oh and twin headlights. I would sketch this if i had the artistic skills.
I don't think it's like that pre race update. We know the new trailer's are coming. The new Gearbox safety mode. And he said ( diamondback ) ( The reason the safety option has been added is that over revving now causes serious damage) So it seems there maybe under the hood work been done. Before the only way to kill the engine was to stave engine of oil. Or over heat it. Before you could rev it all day and the temp may go up after a very long time. So who knows. But sounds fun. I think that city map may be near. Unsure. But looks almost ready. Mind you Italy is playing catch up. Then there is bluebuck. Unknown if it's even in game yet. but i think it is. Mind you When gabe First posted that Hopper image it took a very long time before it was out. Same with that duel cab. So maybe his waiting until it's more polished and near ready before he shows us. Who knows.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but looks like there will be a new spare wheel cover. compared to a mod
Wish we would get a couple vehicles with the update... with a lot of our favorite modders being staff now, vehicle production must be at 100% also, visuals like water splash, waves and stuff like lens flare are hard to make?/hard on fps? sounds like those added by the more features mod and horns and sirens mod... can't stuff like that be implemented by the devs?
Yeah I am also confused, why can't water splashing be added, it's just a particle like fire basically. Also horns, and sounds seem REALLY easy to add considering many people have already done it!
we cant just get 5 new cars because you got to model it, do suspension, jbeam, all the configs, textures etc. Then you add the features like the drive shaft turning engine thermals etc; then when you get a NEW feature you have to update ALL the the vehicles currently in the game. Cars take a lot of work as we see ninetynine and all his work into the etk s series.
a lot of mods use official vehicle jbeams as a base. jbeaming a car from scratch is apparently really time consuming.
Even offical vehicles share tons of parts between each other, its pretty pointless remaking stuff that is going to end up the same, with parts like doors and bonnets the structure will be basically identical no matter what, with only some exceptions like the T series or Pigeon.
O Sorry if I am taking new vehicles as something too simple. I understand it's hard, but with more people experienced at it doing it, I suppose work would get done faster wouldn't it? Although that may not be exactly the case... After all, the cars we get from devs have to match much higher quality standards and bring something new to the game.
Ah, they do that in some cases as well, the LeGran for example is based pretty much fully on the old pessima. Heavily edited and with additions to suit the car of course. Just makes things much easier.
