Nice progress! I've been on vacation for 2 weeks and I have a week more. I can't believe how much progress has been made!
It would be an option in the parts selector. (Similar to the books and stuff in the school bus mod) BeamNG would should still consider it all one vehicle, so it shouldn't require extra threads from the CPU (I think). If it causes me to loose more than 2 or 3(ish) fps, I'll simplify or ditch the addition.
Naa, keep it. Not everyone has the same exact PC. Just use only 8 nodes for small stuff like that, maybe less if it is a different shape.
Jbeam Update I spent all afternoon working on and improving the main Jbeam. It's almost finished, and it deforms so much better then before!
I'm hoping to get the initial (Alpha) release out by early August. Then I'll start adding in the different features and requests as updates. In late August, progress will significantly slow down. That's why I want to release it quickly and add in the other features as I have time.
I have a cool idea for the jacks that allows you to raise and lower them (Picture the jack at the front of the Travel Trailer copied to all 4 corners of the RV). Unfortunately, they would all move at the same rate at the same time. In the future, I might try to use lua to control them and actually provide leveling. Would it be worth adding them in if they dont actually level the RV? (Right now they just raise and lower the RV)
Fixed many of the broken textures! Almost all textures are borrowed from the Travel Trailer. Some time in the future, I'll try to give it custom textures of it's own.
I have two suggestions: 1, Add the wood grain as a skin, and 2, after you're done, how about some different bodies entirely? like this: And maybe after that, a massive tour bus: That's all. I would really like to see this in-game......WAIT MAYBE I CAN..... *hops in TARDIS* *Goes to 2018* Hey, he did add them! *gets back in TARDIS* *something blows up* FFFFFFFF-
