Yeah that would look awesome. 4WOR did a test on some vintage rubber from these guys. They might have what you're looking for.

The unfortunate part is that GM was really screwed when it came to the EV1. They were losing a lot of money on it, and finally had enough.
If they had just left the cars they had remain out and about, eventually they would break, and without spare parts they were worried someone would swap in a traditional power plant. This of course would have been bad for the public image of GM.
On the other hand, when they crushed all of them, it gave the environmentalists a perfect reason to hate on GM and use it as an example of why we needed stricter emissions laws.

It's almost as sad as the Chrysler Turbine Car, which suffered a similar fate for just about the exact same reasons. Fortunately, several turbine cars survived, and a few are still in running condition, including the one Jay Leno has. Steve Lehto wrote an awesome book on them that I would highly recommend reading if you're interested in the car.

My clutch is starting to slip because it can't handle the massive amounts of power my engine puts out.

How much boost does it take from factory and what have you got it set to?

Factory wastegate is 7PSI, was running 14 for awhile, now 12 to avoid much clutch slip. Gonna replace the friction disk and see if that improves things.

Easy cowboy. No need to sound like an asshole here. Just pointing out what my truck runs.

Alright. My engine was meant to take 0PSI, so I'm running infinity times stock.

I love old sedans so much. It's a shame that they were all run into the ground because everyone was/is obsessed with 2 doors for some reason.
And Monaco is one of the coolest car names ever. Rolls off the tongue so well. Dodge Monaco.

Never understood that mentality, sure coupes are cool, but there's nothing wrong with 4 doors;)
Luckily in Japan, 4 doors get the love they deserve^^

Also, for the first year of production, the Skyline GT-R was 4 door only!

Same thing goes in Australia, people respect old cars regardless of doors. One of Australia's most legendary cars, the GTHO Falcon, was 4 door only as well:

Some cars simply look a bit wierd with 4 doors.
1 car in particular is the LC/LJ torana.

The lines just look so much better on the 2 door.

Basically on any smallish car, a 4 door just makes it look squished with too much going on in one small space.

I'm not quite sure. I'm guessing a lot of people think coupes and convertibles look better than sedans (which has actually been the case many times; with rear access de-emphasized it's much easier to achieve a sleek roofline), and may also be perceived as sportier and more prestigious (at least convertibles, not sure about coupes). Sedans are, or at least were, considered to be boring family transportation and in some cases may not have been available with the desirable high-performance option packages that made their two-door brethren famous.

At this point, I personally don't care. In a lot of cases the coupes do actually look better and may even be lighter and more aerodynamic, but I'll take anything, coupe, sedan, or wagon, as long as it's not an EU/JP-style chopped-off hatchback. I mean, remember the AMC Gremlin? Remember how everyone made fun of it when it came out? I'd still rather have that than, say, a Golf or Sonic.

Also, I'm sorry, but that Torana is not a good looking car in either configuration - and the two-door might be worse. It needs a top chop to get the proportions right, at least in coupe form.

Nothing inherently wrong with 4-doors, but they aren't "fun" or "sporty", and they were never intended to be.

Look at these four 1968 Chevelles, and come to your own conclusions.

The golf is an amazing looking car. What kind of drugs are you on?

I love all cars though. I want to buy one of all of them, but I need to be rich first. :(
