Yay, covet pickup is making a comeback. New mesh i know, but still. Tip: make sure your .dae only has the meshes you modified. Export it as a seperate name, like covet_pickup.dae. Also, fix those smoothing groups! this could help with that https://www.beamng.com/threads/how-to-correctly-import-export-official-vehicles-via-blender.14793/
Here is the rear end crash, The front is the exact same on the original covet --- Post updated --- Quick Minor update! Working on fixing the sides of the bed. Also thought I should mention this currently is replacing the original covet. --- Post updated --- Final Update for the night! I finished the bed sides (May be tweaked later on...) Crash Test Results: Have A great night guys and gals!
Not bad for a first mod, though i have no experience with modding for BeamNG. I would however recommend making the B pillar slope down gradually like what you see on a Subaru Brat or a Chevrolet ElCamino. Here are some pictures to sho you what I mean.
Funny enough The Brat was part of my inspiration, like the seats in the rear and also I do plan on doing a sloped B pillar. thank you for the post!
True True, Its more the name I was referring too, Blizzard and Tundra both have to do with snow! hope that clears that up!
Looks good for now, if you can make the rear longer (unless you plan on a RWD/4WD/AWD conversion) it would look better.
Sorry!! old pic from August 2013 https://www.beamng.com/threads/ibishu-covet-pickup-modification.2537/
This is no reason to stop doing something You should consider that the mod is outdated and most likely wont be updated. And in general there is no rule that forbits doing the same thing. Nice progress btw! Oh also rear glass wall is leaning the wrong way, if you check examples of utes or pickups they all are leaning to the front or straight.
I agree 100%! --- Post updated --- Dont worry I will finish this mod (plan to finish it by June ) and Currently the rear of the cab is not fully modeled and is nowhere near finished but thank you for the advice! :3 --- Post updated --- I plan on making a crew cab version, will that work? --- Post updated --- I will give it a shot and let you know if I do this or not! Thanks for the idea! :3
