On this episode of "Finding Lost Beams", we uncover a Utah Offroad Race Legend. This is a 1968 Gavril Barstow RoadSport with a 423 Cubic Inch V8 backed up by a 4-Speed Manual Transmission. It is mostly stock, except for a rollcage, striped interior, sturdier front bumper, rear bumper delete, and chunky offroad tires. This car was sponsored by the still well know "Alder" wheel brand and "Nodeline" oil and gasoline brand. This is the condition of the car when we first got our hands on it: We put many long hours and pride into this 6-month long body-off rotisserie restoration and this is the finished product, even including Barry Reed's (Driver) signature Passive Purple primer that was left noticeable in many crevices on the original car:
Some instrument cluster shots... Almost all of the lights from the Hopper's instrument cluster... what's missing? Why do I get such good gas mileage in a sports car while going 292mph in neutral without the engine running? Oh yeah... and I did an "engine swap" on a Hopper
Hopper CH-7 Bronze Vulture (Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle) (With coil springs ) I'd consider running that rollbar on my Hopper if the front bars connected... (@Tommy1995 ) GAAHH! It's hideous! But it wheelies.
The word "Sheriff" must have been referring to one Buford T. Justice or Roscoe P. Coltrane. By the way, did the little gold "See something? Say something" sticker make it onto the back? Postal Delivery on Small Island USA
I have started on the Border Patrol Livery for the Hopper. Still needs work. All it's missing is a lightbar and spotlights.
