Project is currently on break while we figure out how the new differential engine system works and whether or not it will be useful to us.

I mean, you're more than welcome to make your own mod if you don't want to wait.
Cause if I posted it right now, it would still have half the nodes from the old version and half the new ones, many parts that aren't attached to anything and would not have engines or flaps. Good work takes time, good work with little reference takes longer

if you could (i don't know if you could in real life) but if the back opens up please make it where (if you have seats in it) you can take the seats out because i cant wait till the BEAST comes out first thing i'm going to do is fly this up high and drive a car out the back but keep up the great work!

As a Patrol Bomber first and cargo aircraft second, there aren't even any seats to take out. I'm not sure what you mean by the back opening up though, the Mariner's tail hatches aren't too big and are placed on the sides, as well as being some distance above the floor. Besides, I doubt that a car'd actually fit inside with all the huge bulkheads.

To be honest though while the Mariner is still moving forward (mostly thanks to Occam's Razer and JoelVB), as soon as the programming, UVs and basic cockpit instruments are wrapped up, that'll be it. I've felt like giving up time and time again and to be honest, the thought of working on it again is not at all appealing to me. All I want is for it to be over and out, so that I have at least something to show for the two years I've spent on this. I can say it's still the most accurate depiction of a Mariner out there, even if mostly due to lack of competition and, in hindsight, that I regret not programming it for FSX or War Thunder as well (And having picked a version to use as a base for others instead of starting with my favorite one).

That being said, I don't regret working on it: I've met a lot of great people, got to go inside the real thing, to talk to people who actually flew these birds into combat and it even somehow lead to me discovering what is now one of my favorite bands. What I do regret though, is the total lack of planning on the early stages, the terrible work ethic I had back then (Which resulted in more hours spent remodeling things that were already built than actually making progress), and in general the strings of bad decisions I've made in the time since starting. I have learned from that, and have already secured factory blueprints for my next project as well as every tiny bit of information there is on the aircraft well before starting.

Sorry that this turned into kind of a rant, by I feel it's better to let everyone know the issues we're currently dealing with instead of putting on happy faces and saying "It's almost done and will be released soon". I'm also truly sorry to have kept all of you waiting for over two years. I do hope you enjoy the mod when it eventually comes out, and the sad truth is that it'll be a while (thanks again to my shitty work ethic), since there's still the UV unwrapping, the reprogramming of the engines, and general re-positioning of many nodes, as well as getting any of the cockpit instrumentation to actually work. We're also looking into getting a sound system, since I've had real life sounds for a while now and permission to use them, but I still haven't got a clue how all that works.

If you actually read all of this, I cannot thank you enough, and I hope you'll stick around for when all of this is over.
    Sincerely,
    -Matt/PrimeTheBomber

Well, just to let you know, myself and others are incredibly excited for this. We are sure that it will become an indelible part of BeamNG, and it shall be honored and talked about throughout the game's lifespan.

PLEASE don't give up. I would be heartbroken if I were not able to fly this.

I don't know if I've chimed in here before.

Don't be sorry for "making us wait". I've loved watching you progress over these past 2 years! The longer you/team work on this mod, the better it will become.

In the past while it's been looking very promising, I'm hopeful for the future of this project, even if you do decide to stop the mesh work early. It's still something! :)

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks, Dummiesman

For whatever reason, I actually got off my ass today and worked on it some more. Fixed the suspension for the main gear, and decided to at least finish the pilot's area of the cockpit. So I added in everything that was missing from the control pedestal:
