Why would they even need to reserve numbers? Couldn't they go to 0.(Infinite).0?

 

I doubt it. Making it 1.0 would be completely wrong. Beam is not finished. I don't know what @tdev is thinking.

Technically 1.0 could be beta, not final release.

 

If 0.0 - 1.0 is alpha, what is beta?

Most likely 2.0 or 2.5. "Complete" games are usually at 3.0 or up. This is not totally true, it depends on the game.

 

So hyped for West coast, i don't even care on numbers or sounds and especially the covet sounds, which is rubbish.

 

They should be part of the soliad 4000 mod lol

Just because they change the sound provider doesn't mean they added sounds. Just means they laid the groundwork for sounds.

 

Ok, I feel like an idiot. I thought the full game was 1.0.

 

but that means that they are finally working on it

with the old sound engine it was difficult to have decent sounds, but this engine will defenetly be easier to achive that and give more tools to modders
