I want to rip the Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans) track from a game called RaceDriver: Grid and port it into BeamNG.Drive. I've dont lots of research, I found a tool called 3dxripper or something like that and it doesn't work with my version of 3ds max, and also cannot detect the map in the game. The map is arranged like a foler, with multiple folders inside the folder.

How can i export the map?

Edit: I've discovered track.jpk and track.vis. So I've found that jpk is an image or something but .vis is described as a file holding the map and maybe a little scenery. Is there a way to convert this into an openable 3d file?

My best suggestion is rollback 3ds max. If the problem is the plugin, you can always try that.

Even if I did that, it still doesn't detect the map. I click on the map folder and nothing shows up. If I try to import the folder instead of looking inside it, nothing happens.

Why would you want Grid's version of LM anyway? It's horribly inaccurate.

One DAE for the entire track will be extremely laggy

Yes!! Sorry for the late reply, yes yes yes that's the map!!

Name something (Other than the actual car designs) in Grid that IS accurate. I love the game because it's not really accurate, and I love the arcade-y feel. I love the Le Mans circuit in this game just because I do. I didn't see it in BeamNG and I wanted it in BeamNG so I plan on putting it into BeamNG. '

Also, the map in Grid looks very very very similar to the actual Circuit de le Sarthe in Le Mans. Just sayin'.

Sent the files in a pm. Good luck with your project :)
If you end up finishing the map, dont forget that codemasters are the makers of the map. so credit them as well.

I suppose I get what you're saying, but that track in that game was always disappointing to me because the road sections are just too wide and not bumpy enough.

Jarama, however, is a track that I don't think gets enough attention in other games (probably also more accurate in Grid also, though I wouldn't know it personally). Its layout and topography are almost reminiscent of a mountain pass, which as far as I'm concerned is both a rarity and a treat in closed courses.

I never noticed that until I played the course again with that in mind. I agree. Speaking of mountain passes, why does the only touge pass in the game have to not be even remotely similar to the real thing? It just has the same name.

A lot of the tracks in the game are similar to sort-of, kind-of accurate. This one just looks like they took a shot in the dark

I don't know, but it's always annoyed me. The layout might be sort of similar (or at least looks so from the map) but the scenery was completely redone, I guess to make it look more exotic or exciting with the waterfalls and sweeping vistas and whatever.

I'm not saying it's bad, but you're right. The scenery is way off. I think the real Akina pass these days is mostly trees for scenery
