NFS: Rivals put out their launch trailer today and the physics are so realistic OMGZ! LIKE A BOSS>!?! The way the cop car makes that jump. Not really, but I'm actually looking forward to this title. I haven't played a NFS title since Undercover and haven't owned one since HP2 for the PS2. I just hope that it is good enough. It'll be nice to have a small arcade break after work. Anyways. Releases tomorrow. I'll be playing Monday on my PS4. How many of you were also dumb enough to preorder it?
The last good Need for Speed game has got to be Need For Speed Hot Pursuits from 2010 because it was open world and I like being the cops and smashing into really really expensive cars LOL, but thinking about it...yeah I could give this game a crack on the Next Gen..
if I had to do it for PC yes but I would require a G27 and a beast of a computer to do it on twin 780Ti's anyone?
No, just a GTX 660 or HD 7870. http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=7983&game=Need For Speed: Rivals
The only NFS I own have been Hot pursuit 2010, shift 2, and Most wanted. I have liked all of them so I'll get this one. I like the shiny.
The last NFS game I had true fun in was Porsche Unleashed. After that, it all seemed to be the same game just updated slightly over the years.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 I liked because of how it worked...the rest are crap well apart from Carbon which was rather a good game I miss that game...
I have an NFS game from sometime in the 90s somewhere in my closet. The only NFS game I ever play anymore is NFS Pro Street. (I've owned it since buying it in 2008)
I remember a glitch in the game where you could make $90k by selling some cars god I made a mint and I used a Nissan Skyline GTR to beat Ryo Watanabe into a pulp...it was sooo much fun! btw the absolute WORST NFS game EVER was Need for Speed Undercover...although Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005 gave it a close run for its money... and I have Need for Speed 3 somewhere in my room...
I'm not sure if it's just me but every once in a while I would start playing Pro Street for a few days on my laptop but then my save file would get corrupted or something and I'd stop playing it.. (Because of that I try to remember to keep a second savefile and save to it every once in a while so I have a backup)
All my ps4s arrived today to my surprise. Now I'm just waiting on the game. Don't really care all that much though. It's going to be a busy weekend anyways. I have to agree with most everything in this thread though. Especially the "over the top" comment. Hence why this is the first NFS game I've bought in a long time.
The last NFS titles I touched were Carbon and Pro Street. Both entertained me a little bit but I didn't really enjoy them as "driving" games. I don't dig the arcade thing too much anymore. Back in the day when I was young and before video racing games became simulations, at that time I didn't mind the arcade feel of racing games. Now after having played the likes of Forza and LiveForSpeed, I just can't be bothered to play titles along the lines of NFS. Also, I now boycott EA. After the crap they pulled with BF3 I have lost confidence in the integrity of that company and how they view their customers. My favourite NFS titles were the original Road & Track I and II for Win95/98. However the grandest of all NFS titles is Porsche Unleashed. A master of its time.
I am watching the Nukem Dukem play through and the stupid youtube has fubared the first episode where I cant get any sound its a glitch I got a few days ago on the Frankieonpcin1080p walkthough on the DLC on Bioshock Infinite but I have to say it looks damn good...for an NFS game..
