Where is the monster skin? Can you link it? But anyways great mod dude. I've always wanted a rally truck and this really suits it!
It's great, I just had a wee go and it's pretty sweet. Good work Some things I'd like to see. -Wider wheels -A bit more ride height -Some beefy suspension -Some N/B's for the spare tires, so let's say in a huge crash they can fly off. That'd be pretty cool and not too hard to do. -Less shaky, it tends to shake itself to bits Very good for a WIP Beta.
Had to do it... Gave it some more lift, bigger wheels (10% bigger) and some suspension tweaks. Now it's great. (imported from here)
I think that the power is suffice, there are no maps where you need more power at the moment. Can't wait for the new version of the truck though, amazing mod!
This is a lovely mod! However, I think that the trophy truck does not feel that intact, though I don't know if real life trophy trucks are quite equivalent. But all in all, good job.
Great mod, thanks! Feels really awesome with a wheel. The front suspension could be a bit stronger though. A few high jumps and the front suspension breaks already.. A little tip from me: Remove the Front bumper completely in the parts menu. So the car doesn't bump into the ground if you want to do some jumps
Great mod love trophy trucks would be nice if some one could make one like the HPI BAJA but still love this to
Great Mod! I've always wanted a Rally truck. Or a rally vehicle in general. But something that I really wanna make known is this. A shorter bed. The beds of most trophy trucks I've seen are shorter than the original. This makes them more powerful and more suitable for offroading. The bed on this truck is longer than the original. It's not that important really but it's something I'd like to see. Also maybe some bigger wheels
Nice to have this type of vehicles. Something to compare to, as I'm also making a sort of trophy truck and a map suitable for these. This looks more like a prerunner, though. At least modern trophy trucks don't have much in common with normal pickup trucks. Prerunners are usually based on normal trucks, while race trucks have a tube frame and composite body panels. Suspension works quite well already, but could be better with some changes: - Rear suspension has a bug from the original D15, it's just more noticeable here. There's a limiter beam between the axle and exhaust pipe that limits droop on one side. Open the engine jbeam, find beam ["ex3r","axshr"] and change the "beamLongBound" before it to 1 or more. - Front suspension is pushed to the rebound stops even at rest. It would handle small bumps better with some rebound travel. - Front anti-roll bar is too stiff, it makes the truck shake sideways on one-sided bumps. I prefer it with the anti-roll bar taken off, but a soft ARB could be good if the above issue is fixed. - Wheel node position doesn't match the meshes. Wrong wheelOffset? - Needs more power, but also more weight. Those bigger components weigh a lot, like engine, fuel tank, spare tires, rollcage..
We just noticed that in our Skype group too, Gabe already fixed it, so I guess it'll be in the next public update. There's a beam that goes from the exhaust to the suspension somewhere that does that. Nice mod btw. Good to see you edited the mesh a lot with the rollbar etc and didn't just move polygons. Proof that mods don't need to be complicated to be good, as long as they're well executed. You shouldn't need to off-set the wheels meshes from the n/b btw. When it has the same dimensions(ish) as a real one, all it needs is some suspension work(editing springs/shocks and swaybars) to make it handle properly. No need to fake anything in this game
Nevermind screw the more powerful part lol. I honestly just think it looks more natural with a shorter bed but that's just me
