Somehow, the central locking in my front left passenger door has broken, now to work out how to take the side panel off...

Found out the spare in my Grand Marquis is from a 2002... Still has junkyard markings on it. I wonder what happened to the original...

I kind of like how it sits. If I were to put wheels on it I would consider getting some Pre-03 wheels honestly.

Installed my helper airbags. I had to take the upper overloads off to get them to fit and since I had the u-bolts off I decided to take out the lower overloads too. After a little shot of gloss black it all came out looking pretty nice.

For now I just have some filler valves at the rear next to the license plate but I have a York A/C compressor so eventually I'll hook that up and run the bags with a ride height valve.

Here's some more pictures, I put some black magic plastic conditioner on the dash and plastic surfaces.
In the first pic, the gray is before the black on the right is after.

I think it needs a starter, fully charged, brand new battery in video.

Had my summer wheels rebalanced last week. Yesterday I installed a new stereo, mainly because the old one didn't have aux input on the front panel but this one has better sound quality as well

Today I changed my oil which didn't go too well. Just as we got the oil sucked out, the air compressor decided to off the main fuse which was located on the other side of the garage which we didn't have access. We couldn't use the car lift to change the filter so we had to jack up the car using only one floor jack (no, we didn't have jack stands) and made a huge mess while taking out the filter. But we got the job done eventually. :p

That's a very nice torque wrench. it's very nice to see kids your age getting into this sort of thing in such a way. your parents or whoever is looking after you are to be commended. please keep us updated on your progress and if you don't mind, whatever engine theory you happen to learn about along the way. good luck and torque to spec!

Thanks! it was very hard to torque all 12 bolts. i dont know if i am gonna work on it today it is only 12C out in the garage. But if i do i am gonna check the valve clearances so they are right and good. today it is -27,9C out so not gonna work on the main car

See if your manual specifies what temperature to check certain clearances at just in case. keep up the good work! I was twice your current age when I first started building engines, you have a very bright future ahead of you.
